Beihan Lie
Beihan Lie is a proud Sunset Peak Chosen whose rivalry with Bai Xiaochun gradually becomes reluctant comradeship. He reaches Earthstring Foundation Establishment, later advances to late Core Formation, and dies after the fall of the Heavenspan Realm. (Chapters 86–164, 290–305, 862–877, and 1032)
Biography
Rivalry, war, and loss
Introduced as Sunset Peak's foremost disciple below the ninth level of Qi Condensation, Beihan Lie enters the north–south Chosen battles with a Nightstalker Beast and the Sunset Incantation. Bai's humiliating victory drives him into seclusion, but he returns stronger, reaches Earthstring Foundation Establishment in the Fallen Sword Abyss, and continues trying to surpass Bai. During the Profound Stream war, repeated campaigning under Bai changes him: he learns to smile, fights beside former rivals, and later admits through his actions that he misses their shared months at the front. Years later Beihan fights in a Spirit Stream Division spell-formation giant against the three riversource sects. A black dog dies protecting him, leaving a grief that outlasts the battle. He survives to late Core Formation and is seen again after Bai returns, but his corpse is among those Bai finds after the Heavenspan Realm is destroyed. Appearance and personality
Beihan Lie is handsome, with a red sun mark on his forehead. Initially cold, arrogant, and violently competitive, he nevertheless possesses persistence and sect loyalty. Campaigning tempers his hostility into grim fellowship without erasing his pride. (Chapters 86–89, 296, and 876–877)
Abilities and cultivation
He cultivates the Sunset Incantation, one of the Spirit Stream Sect's ten secret magics, manifesting a burning sun that turns black. He rises from Qi Condensation through Earthstring Foundation Establishment to late Core Formation and can direct a sect spell-formation giant. The source gives no complete technique list.
