Master Godwind

Master Godwind is one of the senior Nascent Soul patriarchs who establishes and governs the River-Defying Sect. He helps protect Bai Xiaochun and manages the new sect's political position in the Middle Reaches. (Chapters 285–377)

Biography

Founding patriarch of River Defiance

Master Godwind intervenes with Patriarch Ironwood when Patriarch Droughtflame threatens Bai after the lower-reaches war. As the merged sect moves into the Middle Reaches, he joins Frigidsect and Patriarch Crimsonsoul as one of its central decision-makers. The three defend Mount River Defiance, negotiate with rival sects, conceal strategic excitement when resources become available, and leave delicate political dealings to themselves rather than to Bai. (Chapters 285–371)

When a childlike deva arrives to demand a hostage, Godwind recognizes the enormous imbalance in power and worries that losing Bai would weaken the Blood Stream Division. He helps prepare the reluctant junior for departure and participates in the decision explaining the sect's limited options. His story ends with that administrative crisis; no later fate or cultivation breakthrough is stated. (Chapters 374–377)

Appearance and personality

No stable detailed appearance is supplied. Godwind is shrewd, cautious, politically experienced, and protective of the merged sect's strategic assets. His concern for Bai mixes genuine institutional care with recognition of Bai's importance as Blood Ancestor. (Chapters 368–377)
