Celestial Aged Spirit is a Saint-Emperor Dynasty celestial and longstanding guardian of the second immortal domain. He begins as Bai Xiaochun's territorial rival but develops respect for him through shared danger. (Chapters 1098–1164 and 1208–1220)
Biography
Rival guardian turned ally
Aged Spirit has guarded the second immortal domain for years without rotating out when Bai is appointed as an additional celestial guardian. The arrangement creates rivalry and leaves Aged Spirit with an unfavorable view of Bai. Later treasure expeditions force him to work beside Bai, Gu Tianjun, Sima Yunhua, and Chen Su. When their companions are endangered, he turns back despite hesitation, expends trump cards, and helps carry sovereign flesh to safety. Bai's conduct during the crisis changes his opinion and makes him find his former rival increasingly amusing. (Chapters 1098–1163)
Their improved relationship becomes politically useful when Bai visits Aged Spirit before traveling into hostile territory. Aged Spirit gives a meaningful guarantee of support. He later acknowledges Bai's elevation and remains alive among the celestials who owe him favors. (Chapters 1164 and 1208–1220)
