Bai Zhentian

Bai Zhentian is the hot-tempered deva patriarch associated with Sky Quarter and the leader of Heavenspan forces late in the war. His hostility toward Bai Xiaochun gives way to fear once Bai demonstrates demigod power. (Chapters 883–916 and 989–999)

Biography

Deva authority checked by Bai Xiaochun

Bai Zhentian first appears enraged over the River-Defying Sect crisis, using his cultivation and status to intimidate subordinates. Unlike Chen Hetian and Li Xiandao, he has little prior personal conflict with Bai beyond that incident and is relieved not to have accumulated a deeper grudge. When Bai arrives at the Starry Sky Dao Polarity Sect, Bai Zhentian cautiously joins other devas in approaching him, then retreats from Bai's medicine-concocting disasters and the uncertain response of the sect's demigod. (Chapters 883–916)

During the Heavenspan war he leads one force and joins Chen Hetian in pursuing Mistress Red-Dust. Bai stops them with a casual gesture that shatters bones, damages organs, and nearly breaks their souls. Bai Zhentian survives, but recognizing the implications of that power leaves him terrified and unable to reconcile it with Bai's recent lower cultivation. (Chapters 989–999)

Appearance and personality

The corpus provides no stable detailed appearance. Bai Zhentian is notably bad-tempered, forceful with juniors, politically cautious around equals, and quick to reassess danger when overwhelming strength is demonstrated. (Chapters 883–916 and 998–999)

Abilities and cultivation

He is a deva with broad knowledge of demigod power and enough strength to lead Heavenspan combatants. The selected evidence does not name a signature technique; his severe defeat demonstrates that he remains far below Bai's demigod-level state. (Chapters 989–999)
