Bao Hua

Bao Hua is a former patriarch of the Elder Devil Realm whose betrayal and debilitating injuries force her into exile. A regal woman dressed in white and commonly accompanied by Hei'e, she combines overwhelming floral techniques with divination, patience, and a willingness to alter alliances as circumstances change. Her early pursuit of Han Li gives way to wary cooperation after she recognizes both his value and the threat posed by larger crises. (Chapters 1964–1966, 2022, 2100–2111)

Her story is one of restoration rather than a new formal breakthrough. Bao Hua begins as a fallen Sacred Ancestor repressing the Nightmare Blood Curse with most of her power, locates the medicine needed to recover, helps organize the campaign against the Stemborer Queen, and finally challenges Liu Ji for her former matriarchal place. Han delays Yuan Yan while she acts, and her return to the three patriarchs reflects recovered strength and authority she had previously possessed. (Chapters 2100–2116, 2214–2258)

Biography

Exile, pursuit, and the search for healing

Bao Hua re-enters the story while pursuing Lei Yunzi and Han in the Spirit Realm. Although severely weakened, her true body still destroys Xue Guang's powerful clones and forces Yuan Cha and Liu Ji's intervention. She is searching for the Celestial Cloud Flower and another medicine indicated by incomplete divination, not merely hunting enemies for prestige. Her calm decisions repeatedly prioritize long-term recovery over costly revenge, even when Hei'e urges her to pursue wounded opponents. (Chapters 1964–1966)

The injuries trace back to Liu Ji's plot and Yuan Yan's Nightmare Blood Curse, which compel Bao Hua to sacrifice most of her magic power to keep herself alive. Rather than contest the Elder Devil Realm openly in that state, she hides, preserves loyal contacts, removes enemy restrictions from former subordinates, and follows the route most likely to yield a cure. Bitter Spirit Island and conditional alliance

Bao Hua shadows Han's expedition into the Elder Devil Realm and appears when conflict erupts at Bitter Spirit Island. She tests him directly, recognizes the Profound Heavenly Spiritslash Sword, and uses the balance among Han, Yuan Yan, and the Faux Immortal Puppet to pursue her own objective. She is neither a stable enemy nor an immediate ally: every concession reflects her injuries, her knowledge of rival Sacred Ancestors, and her assessment that Han cannot be treated as an ordinary Body Integration cultivator. After securing the spirit medicine she needs, Bao Hua withdraws to refine it and recover her former powers. Her later intervention against Liu Ji and Lan Pu protects Han's party long enough to force a retreat, but using the Profound Heavenly Floral Tree while still injured worsens her condition. She accepts that full recovery will require centuries and leaves rather than spending her remaining strength for an incomplete victory. (Chapters 2115–2116, 2140–2144)

The Stemborer Queen coalition

When the Stemborer Queen threatens the Elder Devil Realm, Bao Hua acts as the coalition's strategist even before her formal restoration. She interprets Yuan Yan's message, investigates the ancient seal personally, and convinces the remaining Sacred Ancestors that the seal's weakest interval is also their best chance to rescue those trapped inside and contain the queen. Her authority in this phase rests on past experience guarding the sealed site and on the credibility of her plan, not on holding the patriarchal title. (Chapters 2214–2242)

Han and the other elites follow her plan into the sealed site, where Bao Hua uses her floral treasure and knowledge of the restrictions against the common enemy. The queen's defeat depends on several combatants and the ancient seal rather than Bao Hua alone, but the campaign reestablishes her as a leader able to coordinate suspicious Grand Ascension cultivators. Her alliance with Han becomes one of mutual recognition: she uses his exceptional combat strength, and he relies on her preparation and political access. (Chapters 2242–2251)

Restoration of strength and office

With her strength recovered, Bao Hua moves against Liu Ji and seeks to reclaim her place as matriarch. Han agrees to hold Yuan Yan at a distance while Bao Hua confronts her principal betrayer in Jade Cloud Valley; Yuan Yan ultimately declines to interfere and says he will recognize Bao Hua among the three patriarchs again if she succeeds. The episode is a coordinated political return, not an advancement into a cultivation stage she had never held before. (Chapters 2251–2258)

Bao Hua spares the defeated Yuan Cha despite their history, and Han respects that decision rather than creating a new grievance with the restored patriarch. Later Immortal Realm references only recall her Profound Heavenly Spirit Domain as an example of a treasure-produced faux domain. They do not establish a new appearance, current location, or later breakthrough, so her active story closes with her old strength and patriarchal standing restored. (Chapters 2253–2258, 2917–2923)

Appearance and personality

Bao Hua is described as a stunning, regal beauty commonly dressed in white, often appearing above or within an enormous pink flower with the black-armored Hei'e behind her. Her clear eyes, composed movements, and floral imagery create an outward gentleness that contrasts with the pressure of a Grand Ascension presence. She is patient, proud, and strategically flexible. Bao Hua can threaten, test, negotiate, or withdraw without confusing any single tactic for a permanent relationship. She remembers loyal servants, understands the political motives of her betrayers, and can spare an enemy when killing would create more cost than value. Floral treasure and spirit domain

Bao Hua's signature Profound Heavenly Floral Tree produces flowers, petals, bow-and-arrow forms, movement effects, and a Profound Heavenly Spirit Domain. The domain resembles a true law spirit domain in suppressive and illusory power but is generated through the Profound Heavenly Treasure even without the same law mastery. It can trap powerful clones and transform the battlefield, though maintaining it while Bao Hua is injured rapidly consumes power and aggravates existing damage. Illusion, flame, and ranged techniques

Her Great Illusionary Sun Technique manifests an enormous white sun and flames that suppress many devilish cultivation arts. Floral-tree petals can become a green bow and Sunset Arrow capable of wounding Liu Ji's clone across an attempted escape. These attacks display Grand Ascension-class force even in her weakened condition, but Bao Hua often limits their use because victory at the cost of worsening the Nightmare Blood Curse would undermine her central objective of full recovery. Divination and command

Bao Hua practices divination well enough to identify broad destinations, needed medicines, and the timing of major opportunities, while openly acknowledging that her results can be incomplete. Her deeper strength is combining those signs with experience: she evaluates teleportation traces, manipulates enemy expectations, reads the ancient seal, and organizes Sacred Ancestors who have no natural reason to trust one another. • Han Li: Bao Hua first pursues and tests Han, then increasingly treats him as a dangerous equal whose strength can serve shared objectives. He participates in her Stemborer plan and delays Yuan Yan while she moves against Liu Ji; she later spares Yuan Cha, and Han honors her decision. • Daoist Xie: Bao Hua understands the danger represented by the golden Faux Immortal Puppet and incorporates his presence into her calculations at Bitter Spirit Island. • Liu Ji: Liu Ji is the principal architect of Bao Hua's fall and the target she most clearly identifies as a personal enemy.
