Yunyao

Yunyao is the young female host of Gao Ming, a Qi Yuan Star candidate who develops the keyword Boasting inside the Qinglan Sword Sect.

Biography

Bluffing her way into sword-saint protection

Gao Ming uses Yunyao's childlike appearance and extravagant claims about an immortal realm to arouse the Qinglan Sword Saint's curiosity. He expects the sect's investment to become self-reinforcing: once the Sword Saint has personally trained the girl, discarding her becomes harder. The strategy wins Yunyao access to elite sword teaching and lets the Boasting keyword grow while other candidates struggle to find safe institutions. (Chapters 317–318)

Yunyao later aligns with Du Ge, and publicity turns invented Heavenly Spirit Sword techniques into feared battlefield power. Sword Eighteen annihilates Wei Jiuchou's squad inside a test encounter even while her body is controlled, though later hypnosis can prevent activation. After Wei and Pei Ma'er fall she rises to second place, and the legend surrounding the Yunyao Sword Immortal spreads. She later answers Du Ge's call in another confrontation, maintaining the connection formed on Qi Yuan Star. (Chapters 370–374 and 485)

Appearance and personality

Yunyao appears twelve or thirteen, while the candidate directing her is male. Gao Ming is audacious, theatrical, and strategically conscious of sunk costs and public belief. (Chapters 317–318 and 373)

Keyword and skills

Boasting gains force as others accept and repeat Gao Ming's extravagant claims. Public belief in the fabricated Heavenly Spirit Sword Technique produces Sword Eighteen as a devastating field of sword energy. It can activate despite Dance of Order sealing normal movement and true energy, but it is not automatic: preventing Yunyao from consciously invoking it is an effective counter. Later techniques are publicized, yet only the effects actually manifested should be treated as hers. (Chapters 318 and 370–374)

• Du Ge: Gao Ming studies Du Ge's methods, later joins his battlefield coalition, and answers his subsequent summons.
