Xu Heming

Xu Heming is the master of Tianlan Valley, a merchant-born cultivator who is defeated and then incorporated into Wang Chong's following.

Biography

Defeat, healing, and incorporation into a new lineage

Xu Heming initially tries to end a confrontation by ordering intruders out of Tianlan Valley, but Du Ge, acting as Wang Chong, overturns his authority. During their clash, Xu loses a hand and discovers that his spiritual power and even his clothing can be taken from him, leaving conventional cultivation unable to answer Wang Chong's strange effects. Defeat turns the valley master from gatekeeper into dependent follower. (Chapters 209–210)

Xu and the other injured allies are brought to the Medical Immortal Sect, where their severed limbs are restored. He worries when Wang Chong is taken to meet the sect leadership, reflecting both dependence and a growing stake in his protector's success. Wang Chong later remembers Xu among the followers who aided his rise, ensuring that the former opponent shares in the benefits extended to the new direct lineage. (Chapters 224–229)

Appearance and personality

Xu is controlled and formal before battle, but shock and fear replace that composure when his power is drained. His merchant background informs a practical capacity to accept a changed balance of power. (Chapters 209–210)

Cultivation and abilities

Xu is a capable valley master who can project powerful spiritual attacks and continue fighting after losing a hand. Wang Chong's draining and stripping effects bypass those strengths, and Xu has no demonstrated counter to them. (Chapter 210)
