Biography

From invasion commander to surrendered general

The Chongming Emperor appoints Lin Qing to lead three hundred thousand troops against Linyang and eliminate Luo Shuang before her coalition can consolidate. Du Ge instead integrates local powers, defeats the offensive, and turns the strategic situation so completely that Lin Qing recalls another hundred thousand troops and surrenders. The absorbed force expands Luo Shuang’s army to four hundred thousand, and Lin later stands beside Du Ge and Huangfu Xing during the restored ruler’s ceremonial return. (Chapters 347–367)

Appearance and abilities

Lin Qing’s ability is conventional large-army command and rapid strategic reassessment. He cannot counter Du Ge’s keyword combinations, but preserves troops and his own future by surrendering once resistance becomes untenable. (Chapters 347, 366, and 367)

Relationships
