James

James is one of the Brilliant Empire's four publicly recognized S-class mutants and a powerful telekinetic who eventually follows Du Ge beyond his home civilization.

Biography

From imperial asset to cosmic expeditionary

The Brilliant Empire counted James among its four S-class mutants, alongside Gordon, Edward, and Tang Wengong. His telekinesis made him one of the empire's most valuable strategic assets, but Du Ge and Kou Nan immediately demonstrated physical power beyond even James's level. That comparison helped push the empire toward recruiting Du Ge rather than treating him merely as an intruder. (Chapters 598–599)

Once the conflict expanded beyond the empire, James's ambitions expanded with it. He joined Edward and the other S-class mutants in considering an expedition into the wider universe, then witnessed Du Ge's victory over the Celestial God King. The conquest made clear how modest James's former standing was on a divine scale, yet it also strengthened his admiration for the leader who had opened that larger horizon. (Chapters 614, 637)
