Huangfu Xing

Huangfu Xing is a senior Chongming general and the father of Huangfu Yue.

Biography

Pursuing a rebellious daughter and serving the restored throne

Huangfu Xing is stationed in Qingzhou when Huangfu Yue leads three thousand soldiers away under Luo Shuang's banner. He pursues her to Yutang Pass, placing family duty inside a wider conflict over whether the princess can found a female-led dynasty. His army waits outside the fortified pass rather than forcing an immediate assault, while Du Ge's intervention turns the apparent trap into a genuine rebellion. (Chapters 318–320)

The eventual change of regime brings Huangfu into Luo Shuang's court instead of leaving him as an irreconcilable enemy. He stands at her coronation and later supplies sober military intelligence about Wei Jiuchou's four-hundred-thousand-man advance on Dongling Pass. By serving the restored sovereign alongside his daughter, he places state continuity above the failed effort to recall her by force. (Chapters 367–369)

Appearance and personality

Huangfu is cautious enough to avoid a hasty siege and grave when reporting strategic danger. His actions are governed by military responsibility even when his own daughter stands across the conflict. (Chapters 320 and 369)

Abilities

Huangfu is an experienced cavalry general able to pursue and command large field armies. No personal cultivation realm, named technique, or supernatural skill is confirmed for him. (Chapters 318–320)

Relationships

• Huangfu Yue: His eldest daughter; her revolt makes him her pursuer before both ultimately serve Luo Shuang.
• Du Ge: Du Ge's intervention transforms Huangfu Yue's gesture into a successful restoration that Huangfu later serves.
