Supporting Du Ge’s coercive philanthropy

Huang Mao adapts quickly when Du Ge turns Brother Hu’s gang into a charitable organization. He publicly praises the new leader, recognizes that control of broadcasting is essential when ordinary communication has collapsed, and helps turn the station into a recruitment tool. He later plays the threatening villain during negotiations, brandishing a machete so Du Ge can offer frightened targets a safer-looking choice and secure their resources without immediate slaughter. Appearance and abilities

He has no supernatural ability; his strengths are street cunning, intimidation, knowledge of criminal routines, and willingness to coordinate a staged threat without needing explicit instructions. (Chapters 95 and 112)

Relationships
