Chi Muzhi

Chi Muzhi is the prime minister of the New Moon Kingdom, an outspoken defender of mortal political order who becomes a supporter of the Human Emperor.

Biography

From constitutional resistance to human-realm solidarity

Chi confronts Du Ge when the Eastern Emperor compels the old ruler to abdicate. He condemns a cultivator's interference in government and refuses to accept accusations against the Celestial Emperor without evidence, placing lawful precedent above supernatural intimidation. Du Ge's demonstration of power and the emergence of genuine Literary Heart and Martial Courage gradually convince Chi that the new order has a material basis rather than being an empty usurpation. (Chapters 548–558)

Later revelations that the celebrated leaders are Alien Star warriors weaken Chi's initial sense of honor, but the celestial court's refusal to protect the mortal realm changes his political judgment more decisively. He denounces a heaven that first exploits humanity and then abandons it, aligning his administrative authority with Du Ge's campaign for human independence. His loyalty thus grows from concern for institutions, not uncritical worship of cultivators. (Chapters 563–576)

Appearance and personality

Chi is forthright, skeptical, and willing to challenge beings far stronger than himself. He demands evidence before changing his position and remains primarily concerned with the human realm's survival. (Chapters 548–549 and 576)

Abilities

Chi's strengths are civil administration, public argument, and political legitimacy. He has no demonstrated cultivation technique or keyword skill and cannot personally contest high-level immortals. (Chapters 548–558)
