Immemorial Sword

The Immemorial Sword, also called the Immemorial Shen Sword, is Kun Lun's supreme ancient sword and Lin Qian's inherited weapon. Kun Lun's dying sect leader sacrifices his soul to strengthen its sword soul, after which its overwhelming sword essence helps Lin Qian reach god level, destroy battalion-scale opposition, and contest the God-Killing Blood Sword through the novel's final confrontation. History

Kun Lun seals a master's soul into its recovered sword

Kun Lun's sect leader finds the long-sealed ancient sword for Lin Qian and presents it as the shen weapon most suited to Kun Lun's doctrine that one sword defeats all. Already dying, the master chooses to nourish the sword with his own soul. The Immemorial Sword draws that soul from the sacrificial formation, permanently denying it reincarnation while strengthening the weapon's sword soul. (Chapter 797)

The sacrifice is consumption into the sword, not a custody transfer to the dead master. Lin Qian becomes the bearer, swears not to fail the weapon's reputation, and releases sword essence so vast that it is sensed far away in the Totem Coliseum. The Ghost Mist Child identifies it from that presence as the legendary sword whose wielder was said to become Emperor Sky. (Chapters 797–799)

Lin Qian turns inheritance into battlefield supremacy

Lin Qian later carries the sword during the clash with Tian Huan's Chief Elder. Its presence resonates with the God-Killing Blood Sword, alarms god-level opponents, and gives Lin Qian enough leverage to exploit the collapsing battlefield and escape after his intervention. He then completes his own breakthrough to god level. (Chapters 838–844)

In Kun Lun's last campaign, a single sword light from Immemorial pierces Shuang Yu and cuts through Gu Liang Dao's battalion, while its light shield protects Lin Qian from the battalion's explosion until Shuang Yu's final attack breaks the defense. The sword itself remains in Lin Qian's hand. (Chapters 902–903)

Wei Sheng's God-Killing Blood Sword later corrodes Immemorial a little with every crossing, forcing Lin Qian to manage accumulating taint while fighting. That damage and Lin Qian's wounds require secluded recovery, but neither destroys the sword. In the final chapter he still wields it through a ten-day duel and holds it after Kun Lun's defeat. Abilities and properties

• Ancient shen sword: Immemorial is identified as one of the strongest swords of the ancient era. Its pure, overwhelming sword presence exceeds what contemporary observers expect even from a normal ancient shen device. (Chapters 797–799 and 842)
• Soul-nourished sword soul: Kun Lun's sect leader's pure sword soul is absorbed into the weapon through a formation, increasing its power at the cost of his remaining soul and any reincarnation. The source establishes the sacrifice but does not depict the master taking independent control afterward. (Chapter 797)
• Extreme projection and penetration: Its sword essence can be sensed at great distance, and in Lin Qian's hands a small sword light pierces a pseudo-god-level attacker and then an entire elite battalion. (Chapters 797–799 and 902)
• Protective sword light: Lin Qian forms a light shield around himself and the sword during a battalion's self-destruction. The shield withstands the main explosion but breaks under Shuang Yu's additional death-strike, establishing a limit. (Chapter 903)
• Rivalry and corrosion: The sword resonates with the God-Killing Blood Sword, but repeated contact lets the blood sword's power corrode Immemorial. Lin Qian can ordinarily cleanse the taint, yet cannot spare the attention during their rapid duel. (Chapters 838–840 and 905)
• Bearer dependency: Its ancient power is extraordinary, but the decisive uses are Lin Qian's sword attacks and defenses; the source does not present the weapon as acting autonomously in battle. (Chapters 844 and 902–915)
