Wu Yu

Wu Yu is Marshal Yu's most powerful and trusted subordinate, ranked first among the Ten Yu Frontier Guards. Stalled at peak general level, he sees the emerging shen power as his path to marshal level and enters battle eager to understand it.

Wu Yu watches Xiao Mo Ge's forces with Marshal Yu and accepts the promise of guidance toward shen power if he completes his duty. During the fighting, he moves to rescue Ding Dong from A Gui, uses Ice Blue to arrest her attack, and reveals Blackheart Treasure Coins that establish an Ineffectiveness Realm. He then enters Zuo Mo's incomplete Ten Crow Celestial Domain, confident that experience and transformation will overcome the younger fighter, and uses conversation to locate Zuo Mo inside the domain before attacking with bladed bat wings. (Chapters 640–642)

Zuo Mo has deliberately drawn him close. Three Thousand Threads of Worry cut into Wu Yu's powerful body and restrain him; Wu answers with blue defense and life-saving bat blood insects, creating a deadlock as other guards try to intervene. Zuo Mo ultimately kills him and takes his personal effects, later distributing some blood thunder beads. (Chapters 643–644 and 670)

Appearance and personality

No stable facial or clothing description is supplied. His transformed features include a powerful pair of bat wings used like swords. Wu Yu speaks roughly and comfortably with Marshal Yu, is experienced, confident, ambitious, and genuinely curious about shen power. His confidence becomes condescension toward Zuo Mo, helping the latter bait him into close range. (Chapters 640–643)

Abilities and cultivation

Wu Yu stands at peak general level. Ice Blue, released from his right eye, produces extreme cold capable of freezing air solid. His bat wings provide great speed and cutting power, while Blackheart Treasure Coins create an Ineffectiveness Realm that suppresses or restrains opposing methods. (Chapters 640–643)

Bat blood insects, raised on poisons and bat blood including his own, form a blood-colored life-saving barrier. These measures are formidable but not sufficient against Three Thousand Threads of Worry, which can restrain even the Anti Dragon Claw; once bound within Zuo Mo's domain, Wu Yu loses the mobility and distance his methods require.
