Uncle An Ya is Shattered Stone Town's respected mo-skills teacher and local authority. His practical fundamentals help the paralyzed Zuo Mo recover movement, while his care gives Zuo Mo and A Gui a temporary home.

Great Peace City and Mo Cloud Sea
Uncle An Ya shelters Zuo Mo and A Gui in Shattered Stone Town, respecting A Gui's wariness and letting the disabled Zuo Mo listen to his youth lessons. His practical military-derived instruction supplies fundamentals Zuo Mo never formally learned and helps him begin recovering control of his body. An Ya also tries to repay Ka Zhuo for a broken silver needle rather than leave the debt to the young pair. When Zuo Mo repairs Dong Zi's mo matrix, An Ya protects the secret, tests the result through Shattered Stone Strike, and gladly yields further instruction once he realizes Zuo Mo can give the youth a rarer opportunity. Appearance and personality
The corpus gives no stable physical description. An Ya's tone can be fierce and his teaching stern, yet he is friendly, protective, generous, and attentive to boundaries. Sorrow occasionally appears when he looks at A Gui, leading Zuo Mo to speculate about a daughter, but the text does not confirm that history. (Chapters 538–546)
Abilities and cultivation
An Ya is captain level and has extensive practical battle experience. He teaches foundational mo skills and created Shattered Stone Strike from a method learned in the military. At full power he can produce a cut comparable to Dong Zi's newly awakened captain-level strike. (Chapters 538 and 545–546)
His training is useful but crude, and his overall skill is explicitly limited compared with the advanced inheritances Zuo Mo later encounters. He teaches fundamentals rather than profound secret content and openly acknowledges the limit when Zuo Mo can guide Dong Zi further. (Chapters 538, 546, and 572)
