Qing Lin

Qing Lin is an ancient Greenvine Tribe warrior whom the Sun Tribe imprisoned as guardian of the Greenwood Secret Realm. After tens of thousands of years in the failing temple, he chooses to spend his remaining power helping Zuo Mo, leaving knowledge and a request that any surviving Greenvine descendants receive aid.

Biography

Documented arc

Qing Lin first recovers his identity as a son of the Greenvine Tribe and explains that the Sun Tribe captured experts from other peoples to guard its secret realms. With the Sun Tribe gone, the realm guardians are also dying. He recognizes the sealed Sun Crystal Seed inside Zuo Mo, gives him Greenvine Mystical Water, and accepts him as a younger brother. Rather than take Zuo Mo's recovered ancient objects, Qing Lin identifies what he can and returns them with a warning against display. (Chapters 492–493)

Qing Lin borrows the Sun Crystal Seed and uses the remaining power of the Sun Shen Temple to help Zuo Mo form shen power and loosen one thread of the seed's seal. He leaves a thought imprint containing temple warnings, Greenvine methods, a descendant location, and guidance about processing the mystical water, then dies with relief and contentment. Zuo Mo later finds Qing Xiao, transmits the Greenvine inheritance, and passes on the mystical water, fulfilling Qing Lin's request without implying that Qing Lin himself survives to meet the descendant. Appearance and personality

Qing Lin is a green-haired male with black eyes that shine like stars. During his final working, his hair floats without wind, his face becomes pale from expenditure, and his smile remains free, warm, and content. The source does not provide height, build, or clothing. (Chapters 492–494)

He is warm, generous, knowledgeable, emotionally released from long captivity, and realistic about limits. He likes Zuo Mo's pure heart despite recognizing his cunning, refuses gifts he cannot use, and asks only for incidental help to descendants rather than demanding a dangerous search. Abilities and cultivation

Qing Lin possesses ancient Greenvine shen power and enough understanding of the temple to redirect its remaining force, open part of the Sun Crystal Seed's seal, and establish shen power in Zuo Mo. His Greenvine Mystical Water is extremely pure after tens of thousands of years of nurturing. These feats consume his remaining existence; they are a final transfer, not sustainable combat. His memory and access are incomplete. He cannot enter every temple area, does not know how to use several ancient treasures, says he is weaker than Tu, and cannot make Zuo Mo a Sun totem warrior because Zuo Mo lacks the necessary power. (Chapters 493–509, 734)

Relationships

Zuo Mo

Zuo Mo becomes Qing Lin's sworn younger brother and recipient of his final aid. Qing Lin supplies power, knowledge, and warnings; Zuo Mo preserves his memory and later fulfills the descendant request. (Chapters 493–858)

The Sun Tribe

The Sun Tribe captures Qing Lin and other ancient experts to guard secret realms. He uses their failing temple and inherited seed to help Zuo Mo, but he is neither a Sun Tribe member nor owner of the Sun Crystal Seed. (Chapters 492–498)

Qing Xiao

Qing Xiao is a later Greenvine descendant whom Qing Lin never meets. Zuo Mo recognizes the lineage, gives him the methodology and mystical water, and regards that transfer as completing Qing Lin's last request. (Chapters 808, 858)
