Qian Liu

Qian Liu is the legendary yao expert who broke the first Ten Finger Prison at twenty-eight and remade it as Vast Water Clear Skies. Three centuries later, Xiao Mo Ge defeats the art imprint he left behind, and Qian Liu responds with curiosity rather than resentment, studying the younger yao's deconstruction-based path.

Biography

Documented arc

At twenty-eight, Qian Liu completes a prison-breaking battle and leaves Vast Water Clear Skies in place of the former first prison. His retained impression tests later challengers with a domineering fire art, a vast water system, and Thousand Flow Water Breath. The achievement establishes his Clear Skies Thousand Flow reputation and makes his water arts a standard against which younger yao are measured. His imprint remains powerful three hundred years later, but it is a preserved test rather than Qian Liu personally fighting in the prison. (Chapters 347–352)

When Xiao Mo Ge breaks Vast Water Clear Skies, the living Qian Liu calmly says that after three hundred years it is time for the prison to fall. He watches the Wasteland Beast Chessboard form, recognizes its deconstruction style, and becomes interested in a path built from little yao arts. He allows a fire-faced companion to stir further challenges but warns against making the matter too large. Later he studies the Prison-Breaking Six and perceives a new road rather than dismissing basic arts as beneath him. (Chapters 353–406)

Appearance and personality

The source gives no stable physical description of Qian Liu's face, hair, build, age, or clothing. It depicts him through a twitching forehead, smiles, blinking, regret, laziness, and absorbed observation. A detailed portrait would therefore be unsupported. (Chapters 353–406)

Qian Liu is calm, curious, mature, and relatively unconcerned with losing face. He values competition and real battle as sources of growth, respects effective training institutions, and can detect promise in basic methods. Abilities and cultivation

Qian Liu's water yao arts produce interlaced rivers and a water breath characterized by vastness and life. He is also capable of leaving a powerful fire-art imprint despite water being his specialty. The source never names that fire art, and the prison battle tests only what he embedded centuries earlier, not the full present strength of the living Qian Liu. (Chapters 347–352)

Zuo Mo

The fire-faced yao

An unnamed fire-faced companion watches events with Qian Liu, complains loudly, and proposes ways to test Xiao Mo Ge. Qian Liu tolerates the enthusiasm while setting limits. The companion is not identified as Qian Liu or as the fire-art imprint. (Chapters 353–406)

Yao society

Younger yao revere Qian Liu as the king of water yao arts and a figure qualified for the Council of Elders. Qian Liu himself is less invested in preserving that reputation than observers are, accepting the fall of his old prison as natural. (Chapters 347–363)
