Huang Zhuo Guang

Huang Zhuo Guang is Clear Sky Old Forefather's favored disciple and the dominant figure among Clear Sky Sect's younger generation. His fearsome public manner conceals a tactical fighter whose Sky sword essence draws strength and concealment from the open sky.

Biography

Documented arc

Huang Zhuo Guang's reputation predates his direct appearance. During earlier turmoil in Little Mountain Jie, he kills attackers, hangs their heads at the sect gate, and helps hold Clear Sky Sect until its Old Forefather returns, earning the title Clear Sky Hero. When a secret realm emerges, he gathers cultivators versed in five-element spells and takes control of the search, treating weaker outsiders and even Outer Hall authority with contempt. He defeats the third-stratum ningmai Zheng Zhong despite having slightly lower cultivation, revealing that the brutality and dominance associated with him are partly a disguise for an elusive, calculating sword style. (Chapters 267–273)

Zuo Mo and other treasure-seekers then isolate Huang Zhuo Guang from the sky that empowers him. Hard lightning exposes and damages his hidden flying sword, while coordinated attacks deny him the uncomplicated duel in which he excels. He adapts and attempts to break the encirclement by killing Zuo Mo, but Zuo Mo's prepared glass-wave fist and formation technique destroy the tiger-shaped attack and make half his body explode. Huang Zhuo Guang dies at the scene, and the victors divide his valuable equipment. (Chapters 274–278)

Appearance and personality

Huang Zhuo Guang has narrow eyes, long eyebrows, a high nose, a slightly narrow chin, and hair secured with a copper ring. His bright-yellow armor, deep-red cape, dark-blue gloves, and Tiger Head boots give him a grand warrior's appearance. He is proud, vicious, domineering, and clever. He willingly uses fear and reputation, but his battle with Zheng Zhong shows patience and deception beneath the surface aggression. (Chapters 271–273)

Abilities and cultivation

Huang Zhuo Guang cultivates Sky sword essence and the Sky Inquirer, a flying sword formed from cloud-soul essence and hidden in the sky. The surrounding sky supports his sword essence, making his attacks vast, difficult to locate, and strongest in open air. His command of the weapon lets him pressure Zheng Zhong even while lower in cultivation. (Chapters 272–273)

His armor carries a Mist Kill Formation that releases corrosive sand mist capable of destroying ordinary lower-grade flying swords, and his movement equipment supports forceful aerial combat. These advantages have concrete counters: ling-eye detection and hard lightning can locate and injure Sky Inquirer, severing his connection to the sky weakens his method, and a coordinated group can force him to divide his attention. His confidence that he can kill Zuo Mo before the trap closes proves fatal. (Chapters 273–276)

Relationships

  • Clear Sky Old Forefather: The Old Forefather favors Huang Zhuo Guang, and that backing helps secure his unchallenged place among the second generation. Huang's death becomes a major grievance for the sect. (Chapters 272 and 278–299)
  • He Xiang: Huang Zhuo Guang dismisses the Outer Hall leader's authority and pursues the secret realm on his own terms. (Chapters 271–272)
  • Zheng Zhong: Zheng Zhong initially misreads Huang as a purely forceful fighter. Their duel exposes Huang's concealed, sky-based sword method before they become participants on opposing sides of the final encirclement. (Chapters 272–275)
  • Zuo Mo: Zuo Mo organizes the trap and delivers the killing blow after hard lightning and multiple allies compromise Huang's advantages. (Chapters 274–276)

Items

  • Sky Inquirer: A cloud-soul flying sword cultivated into the sky. Hard lightning damages it during the encirclement; the corpus does not separately establish its final custody. (Chapters 272–276)
  • Bright-yellow ling armor: Fourth-grade armor bearing the Mist Kill Formation and its corrosive sand mist. It is part of the equipment divided after his death. (Chapters 271–276)
  • Tiger Head boots, gloves, cape, and other talismans: Huang's outfitting is consistently high grade. The victors strip and divide his possessions after his death, but individual recipients are not specified. (Chapters 271 and 276)
