Ding Dong

Ding Dong is the fifth-ranked member of Marshal Yu's Ten Yu Frontier Guards. His naturally grown Green Turtle armor has carried him through many battles, but it cannot free him from A Gui's sustained remote assault.

Biography

Great Peace City and Mo Cloud Sea

Ding Dong approaches A Gui with Qian Qing, hoping to observe shen power. He recognizes the danger of the first ripple and retreats, but that movement draws A Gui's attention. Her repeated invisible blows follow every attempted escape and hammer his armored body until Wu Yu intervenes. Ding Dong flees the immediate exchange, then sees Wu Yu trapped in Zuo Mo's domain and decides that rescuing Marshal Yu's most trusted expert could secure his own future. He charges Zuo Mo but finds the black gold seal soldier waiting. The chapter ends with Ding Dong facing that opponent; it does not record his death or escape. (Chapters 639–643)

Appearance and personality

Ding Dong is large, with thick armor growing directly from his body. He is confident and curious before combat, quick enough to retreat from danger, ambitious enough to reverse course for political reward, and frightened when stronger allies fall. (Chapters 639–643)

Abilities and cultivation

As a Green Turtle mo, Ding Dong grows an exceptionally hard turtle shell described as nearly the strongest armor available and difficult for flying swords to damage. This defense has let him survive many battles and rise among Marshal Yu's guards. (Chapters 639–641)

No cultivation rank or named offensive technique is supplied. The shell prevents immediate destruction but does not stop A Gui's force from knocking him repeatedly through the air, and he cannot escape her tracking without Wu Yu's intervention. His clash with the seal soldier is unresolved. (Chapters 641–643)
