The Dragoncry Sword is Chen Xuanba's proud imperial sword, recovered from the Sword Pool before transferring its sword intent into Chen Changsheng's dagger and creating a successor weapon. (Chapters 324, 336–338, and 437–444)

History

From Chen Xuanba to the Sword Pool

The Dragoncry Sword belongs to the Great Zhou prince Chen Xuanba, who carries it into the Garden of Zhou and loses to Zhou Dufu. Zhou's strike has already broken the blade, but its pride keeps the damage concealed for centuries among the famous weapons cast into the Sword Pool. When Chen Changsheng summons the missing swords, Dragoncry answers him, its roar disrupting the battlefield before a single blow heavily injures Teng Xiaoming. The successor blade

Chen later relies on Dragoncry's battle intent against the Golden-winged Great Peng. The old fracture finally separates under the collision, and the surviving half loses its light after sending its sword intent into the dagger at Chen's waist. The inherited intent fuses with the dagger; when the dragon soul also enters and awakens it, the dagger becomes the new generation of the Dragoncry Sword. That successor retains the original's dominating character and can strike beyond the limits expected from Chen's cultivation, although stronger defenses can still stop its edge. Abilities and properties

  • The original blade carries proud, overbearing sword intent and dragon-like resonance. A swing can project a phantom dragon and enough force to break bones and hurl Teng Xiaoming hundreds of zhang. (Chapter 329)
  • Its battle intent persists after severe structural damage and can project sword glow with dragon breath across dozens of li. The pre-existing fracture is a decisive limit: the impact with the Golden-winged Great Peng finally breaks the blade. (Chapter 337)
  • Dragoncry's sword intent can leave the failed body, enter another blade, and fuse with a compatible wielder's developing intent. The dragon soul's later arrival awakens the dagger as a living successor. (Chapters 337–338)
  • The successor dagger is exceptionally sharp and can produce dominating attacks that surpass cultivation realms, but it does not ignore every defense; concealed protection stops its thrust in a later fight. (Chapters 366, 386, and 462)
