The Capital and the Orthodox Academy

Priest Xin initially dismisses Chen's request for the abandoned academy's funds, but Mei Lisha's hints force him to reconsider what the Pope intends. He then supervises the academy's renovation, arranges its return to the Ivy Festival, brings help when the gate is attacked, and quietly supplies examination information. These actions make him one of the revival's earliest institutional sponsors: Chen provides the students and purpose, while Xin translates high-level protection into repaired buildings, procedures, intelligence, and enough official recognition for the school to survive. Appearance and personality

Xin is a middle-aged priest whose expressions readily reveal embarrassment, fear, worry, or exhaustion. He is humble before senior clergy and cautious about political implications, yet once given direction he is diligent, discreet, and willing to bend procedure for the academy's protection.
