Mu Jiushi is a princess of the Great Western Continent and an enigmatic former Prefect whom Shang Xingzhou advances as an alternative successor to the old Pope. Mu Jiushi helps the blue-clothed Great Western visitor fabricate evidence around Bie Tianxin's murder so that Bie Yanghong will blame Chen and the Black Dragon, extending the alliance that once made her a papal candidate. When the attacker's intervention exposes the deception, Bie and Wuqiong Bi pursue her to White Emperor City and demand that she answer for the plot. Madam Mu protects her, but the wider conspiracy collapses; Mu flees by sea with her remaining western inheritance, only for the pursuit to reach her there and end in her death. (Chapters 906–936, 991–1003, 1043, and 1114–1169)

Appearance and personality

Mu is petite, with a beautiful small face, bright cheer, and an intimidating noble confidence born from an untroubled royal upbringing. Once Bie demands answers, that confidence gives way to pallor, concern, and finally the haggard relief of flight. (Chapters 656–658 and 934–1043)

Abilities and cultivation

The old Pope cripples Mu's Orthodox cultivation and expels her from the Li Palace, removing the glory and strength attached to her Prefect's office. Great Western clan techniques still protect her from becoming completely powerless, but the corpus does not define their full mechanics or assign her a later realm. (Chapters 672–673, 804, and 913)

Relationships

  • Madam Mu: Madam Mu is Mu Jiushi's senior relative, political protector, and principal connection to the Great Western alliance. She shelters Mu from Bie Yanghong. (Chapters 906–936)
