Fei Dian is one of the oldest Great Zhou Divine Generals, a veteran of the previous great war against the demons and a longtime protector of Tianhai Shengxue. (Chapters 90, 96, 100, and 264)

Biography

Guarding Tianhai Shengxue

Dispatched by the Tianhai Divine Empress to protect Tianhai Shengxue, Fei Dian shadows the younger officer on dangerous assignments and intervenes when the Orthodox Academy's supporters confront him. At the academy gate, Fei fights Jin Yulu, an opponent from the same old generation, and is wounded when Jin's greater speed and force tear through his freezing defense. Rather than escalate a politically damaging defeat, Fei proposes attributing the destroyed carriage and deaths to the slippery road, containing the public consequences while leaving the Orthodox Academy's side unharmed. He later resumes his protective place beside Tianhai Shengxue. (Chapters 90–91, 264, and 1069–1070)

Appearance and personality

Fei Dian is an old, tall, thin man with white eyebrows. He is proud enough to meet Jin Yulu directly but pragmatic after losing, quickly offering a face-saving explanation and later counseling Tianhai Shengxue to accept a missed opportunity and move on. (Chapters 90–91 and 1070)

Abilities and cultivation

Fei follows the Way of the Cold Hawk and specializes in speed and strength. During his clash with Jin Yulu, dense true essence slows the rain and freezes it into a defensive curtain, but Jin moves faster and smashes through it, showing that Fei's cold defense can be overcome by a superior close-range opponent. His experience also lets him recognize rare movement techniques from the old war. (Chapters 90 and 157)
