Blazing Sceptre
The Blazing Sceptre is the perfected form of Leylin’s Snarling Red Dragon Staff, also called the Red Dragon Staff. Originally built around the captive soul and remains of a legendary red dragon, it is reforged with a divine flaming bird’s soul into a stronger legendary weapon.
History
The Snarling Red Dragon Staff
Leylin creates an incomplete legendary staff from a dragon crystal, bones, blood, scales, and a captured red-dragon soul. It stores spells, projects dragon breath and a draconic aura, and can burn the resident soul to fuel a powerful mental attack. Leylin uses it in Dreamscape-contaminated territory and against enemies whose defences require high-ranked magic. (Chapters 926 and 946–950)
Reforging with a divine spirit
After subduing a flaming bird carrying divinity, Leylin stores its soul in the staff’s crystal and seals the weapon until he can rework it. He replaces the dragon-claw form with a bird-like head, integrates the new divine spirit, and renames the result the Blazing Sceptre. The captive souls are components of the weapon’s power but remain distinct beings subjected to its Blaze function, not property in their own right. (Chapters 994–995 and 1003–1015)
A stronger personal weapon
The reforged sceptre reaches Legendary 3 and surges with enough spell energy to alarm Leylin’s opponents. Leylin considers it his best personal creation in the World of Gods and retains it for his own use rather than transferring it. (Chapters 1015–1017)
