Tanasha
Biography
Subjugation in the Forgotten Land
Tanasha, one of the leaders of the Alliance of the Exiled, hunts Leylin Farlier after his servants plunder Quicksand Castle. Leylin marks her with a Blood Vulture's feather and scatters stolen bloodline materials around her, provoking the flock into attacking the apparent thief. She escapes only after exhausting her spiritual force and crystals, sacrificing a long-nurtured clone, repeatedly stimulating her body's potential, and losing an arm. Leylin tracks her despite her careful concealment, breaks her weakened ruby-ring barrier, and forces her to surrender her spirit source. (Chapters 431–433)
Leylin offers high-grade recovery potions and promises eventual help against the enemies whose persecution drove Tanasha into the Forgotten Land. The prospect of revenge changes her service from mere coercion into committed allegiance. She initially remains inside her old organisation because she has no soul-binding agreement with it, then leaves secretly to become one of Leylin's hidden subordinates. (Chapters 432–433)
Leylin's hidden enforcer
Tanasha works behind a black veil as one of Leylin's strongest secret subordinates. She transports resources out of Quicksand Castle, gathers blood and test subjects, watches targets, responds to emergencies on Leylin's properties, and helps Parker protect Freya during the Ouroboros Clan siege. She also reinforces Leylin's binding runes with her Crystal Phase spiritual force during the struggle against the Quicksand Castle phantom. Her assignments depend more on secrecy, capture, and endurance than on open battlefield command. (Chapters 438–504)
After Leylin reaches Morning Star, Tanasha rapidly captures multiple batches of Kobold Warlocks for his experiments. He then fulfils his old promise: he clears away the organisation protecting her target and gives her a secret imprint containing one use of his own attack as a last resort. Tanasha sets out naming Dove, later completes her revenge against Harper with Leylin's gifted power, and becomes stranded after offending several organisations. She eventually returns to Leylin's circle and is sent to Freya for resettlement. (Chapters 584 and 771)
Appearance and personality
Tanasha is a curvy, ginger-haired woman with pale arms, a golden headband, and narrow eyes. In Leylin's service she usually wears a black dress and veil to conceal her identity. She is proud enough to resent surrender even when mortally threatened, but disciplined, discreet, and increasingly respectful once committed. Her long-suppressed hatred is the emotional core Leylin uses to turn captivity into loyalty. (Chapters 431–432, 496, and 584)
Magic, bloodline, and abilities
- Crystal Phase spiritual force: Tanasha is a rank 3 Crystal Phase Magus and initially exceeds Leylin's Vapour Phase. At full strength she can solidify spiritual force, but the Blood Vulture pursuit depletes both her reserves and her stored spiritual-force crystals, allowing Leylin to overpower her. (Chapters 431–432)
- Storm: Her eyes turn silver-white as she invokes a storm. Its light blocks Leylin's petrifying gaze while a large tornado tears through his shadow cage, giving the spell both immediate defence and area-clearing force. (Chapter 431)
- Physical and innate defence: Tanasha forms a translucent layer over her skin strong enough to catch and crush Leylin's Lance of Corrosion. Her ruby ring can create a second light barrier, but when she is exhausted that barrier is too weak to stop Leylin's fist. (Chapters 431–432)
- Concealment and evasion: She can erase identifying auras and scents, conceal her trail, discard a prepared clone as a decoy, and disappear into a wave of water. These methods defeat ordinary pursuit, but not Leylin's A.I. Chip-assisted environmental scanning. (Chapters 431 and 433)
- Operational limits: Tanasha can reinforce seals and capture lower-ranked Warlocks quickly, but she cannot identify traces left by a being above the Crystal Phase. Her expertise does not bridge the qualitative gap to Morning Star. (Chapters 440, 465, and 584)
- Secret-imprint attack: The black-snake mark on her forehead contains a one-use strike from Leylin that ordinary Morning Stars cannot withstand. The force is stored by Leylin and consumed when used; it is not a spell Tanasha can reproduce. (Chapter 584)
Relationships
- Leylin Farlier: Her master, who defeats her and ultimately enables her revenge.
- Freya: The Ouroboros Clan leader Tanasha helps defend.
- Parker: A fellow covert subordinate under Leylin.
- Dove and Harper: Names tied to the persecution Tanasha avenges; the corpus names Dove when she departs and later says her revenge against Harper has succeeded.
Items
- Ruby ring: A defensive Magic Artifact that generates a light barrier. Its depleted output cannot withstand Leylin after the Blood Vultures exhaust Tanasha. (Chapter 432)
- Leylin's secret imprint: A forehead mark that identifies his backing and stores one use of his own attack. It is emergency borrowed power rather than Tanasha's personal magic. (Chapter 584)
