Biography

Director of the bloodbath

Siley leads Abyssal Bone Forest Academy as a combat-specialised rank 2 Dark Magus during its conflict with Sage Gotham's Hut and Whitewoods Castle. At the secret plane he answers a rival chairman's taunt by projecting force toward the enemy's transport and frightening the acolytes aboard. His advantage comes from Dark Magus combat experience rather than a higher formal rank, and it establishes the hostility surrounding the competition before the students enter. (Chapter 88)

Siley exhorts his own acolytes to behave as predators and accepts that the bloodbath will kill many of the academy's best students in exchange for resources and factional advantage. He waits outside with a silver hourglass, opens the return when its last grain falls, and endures the other directors' provocations while their students fight. His role is strategic and administrative; the corpus does not show him remotely controlling individual acolytes inside the plane. (Chapters 89–99)

Confronting a former student

Leylin Farlier later returns to the south coast as a newly advanced rank 2 Warlock carrying the Wisdom Tree's essence. Siley recognises both the talent the academy has lost and the threat created by Leylin's killing of the Lilytell elders. He and another rank 2 initially consider the former student difficult but manageable, then watch Leylin destroy the thirteen sages of the Iron Crown. The display overturns that assessment. (Chapters 259 and 270, 282–284)

When Leylin turns his attention toward him, Siley chooses survival rather than institutional vengeance. He forces a smile, relinquishes any attempt to dictate the outcome, and lets the stronger Warlock proceed. This encounter does not kill him or show him defending the academy with a skeletal army. Centuries later Nyssa explains that, as a peak rank 2, she could easily remove the middling-rank Siley from leadership; he is nowhere to be found after her takeover, but his death is not established. (Chapters 283–284 and 671, 679–680)

Appearance and personality

Siley is bald and can project a remote, overbearing authority. His eyes turn crimson when he urges students toward violence, reflecting the academy's predatory culture. He is proud enough to challenge peer directors but pragmatic before unmistakably superior force, abandoning confrontation with Leylin once continued defiance would only get him killed. (Chapters 88–89 and 283–284)

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Rank 2 Dark Magus

Siley is an experienced rank 2 Magus in a region where that rank forms the leadership of major academies. His Dark Magus background makes him stronger in combat than a less battle-oriented chairman of equal rank, but he remains a middling rank 2 rather than a peak expert. A rank 3 or an exceptional rank 2 such as later Leylin or Nyssa can overpower or displace him. (Chapters 88, 120, 259, 283–284, and 680)

Projected pressure

Siley sends a formless energy wave toward a rival academy's giant beetle transport, causing young passengers to cry out. The scene demonstrates controlled long-range intimidation and sufficient power to provoke another rank 2 chairman. The corpus does not name the spell, explain its damage, or establish that it tracks acolytes after they enter the secret plane. (Chapter 88)

Academy authority

As director, Siley sets the tone of the bloodbath, represents the academy before rival chairmen, controls the event's timing with an hourglass, and coordinates professors who form the institution's foundation. His authority has limits: professors retain protected laboratories and secrets, and he cannot safely violate their privacy against their collective opposition. This is institutional governance, not a magical ability. (Chapters 89, 97, and 120)

No source evidence in Siley's appearances establishes black bone spurs, mass skeletal summons, a bloodline, or a named innate spell.
