Biography

Jealous fiancé

Nolan Rolithe is a newly advanced rank 1 Magus and heir of the Rolithe family. On an airship he emphasises that Jessia is his fiancée and privately warns Leylin Farlier to keep away from her. He later apologises, but when Jessia disappears he follows a location marking with an odd mirror, freezes an inn with his rank 2 relative, and accuses Leylin of abduction (Chapters 394–395).

Leylin reveals rank 3 strength and forces the searchers to follow him to Jessia's hiding place. Her staged bloodstained dress exposes Nolan's insecurity and her manipulation of both men. When Nolan reacts angrily to Jessia clinging to Leylin, his relative restrains him before Leylin's aura knocks the entire group back. Nolan leaves alive but humiliated (Chapters 395–396).

Cautious husband

Nolan later marries Jessia and treats her well enough that she grows dependent on him, though she retains hatred for Leylin. When they meet their former opponent at Azure Mountain, Nolan remembers that even a supposed low-phase rank 3 backed by Ouroboros Clan is beyond them and withdraws rather than revive the feud (Chapter 452).

At an auction he again tries to restrain Jessia when she invokes the Rolithe name against entry rules. Their family elder is present, but Nolan understands that the Oakheart Clan will not yield to a family with no Morning Star. He accepts help from Leylin's disguise without recognising him and remains alive after the encounter (Chapters 454–455).

Appearance and personality

Nolan is possessive, proud of the Rolithe name, and easily provoked where Jessia is concerned. His jealousy first overrides ordinary Magus caution, but humiliation teaches him to recognise rank and institutional power. As a husband he is patient enough to indulge Jessia while repeatedly steering her away from conflicts the family cannot win.

Nolan is a newly advanced rank 1 Magus. That makes him an official spellcaster, but the supplied chapters show no named spell, personal bloodline, or direct combat victory.
