Lillian

Biography

The trap for Malar

Lillian helps assemble a covert group of legendary figures interested in killing divine avatars and uses her influence to bring Leylin Farlier into the operation against Malar. At the battlefield, she helps prepare a greater isolation array, directs the participants to their positions, and activates the epic formation after Malar's avatar enters the trap. The formation seals the battlefield and strips away the avatar's extraordinary damage reduction and magic resistance (Chapters 980–985).

Ice Age

When the battle turns against the coalition, Lillian summons a giant frost sprite and casts the legendary spell Ice Age, pinning Malar beneath an immense icy meteorite. Exhausted by the spell, she cannot withstand his counterattack; her layered defences break and she is left unconscious and gravely injured, but still alive. (Chapters 985–986)

Appearance and personality

The corpus gives little physical detail beyond her appearance atop a giant frost sprite like a goddess of snow. Lillian is prepared, analytical, and bold enough to wager her life against a god's avatar, though the avatar's strength eventually shakes her confidence. (Chapters 980–986)

Magic, bloodline, and abilities

Legendary wizardry and prepared resources

Lillian is a legendary wizard whose power is supported by extensive preparation. Leylin detects numerous scrolls and magic items on her, as well as a concealed aura he judges likely to come from a legendary item. The object is never identified or visibly activated, so that judgment establishes a probable reserve rather than a confirmed named ability. Her confrontation with Malar also shows the normal limit of even legendary defenses: crystal armor and dozens of frost shields cannot stop the avatar's counterattack once Ice Age leaves her exhausted. (Chapters 980 and 986)

Isolation formations

Before approaching Malar, Lillian creates multiple private isolation formations capable of concealing the coalition's planning unless a god's true body descends. She then helps prepare the greater isolation array around the battlefield and coordinates the other legendary combatants through it. When activated, the epic formation seals the area, gathers golden threads into chains around Malar's avatar, and strips away its epic damage reduction and magic resistance. That removal is essential because the divine protections otherwise negate physical and magical attacks below legendary rank. (Chapters 980 and 982–985)

The formation is a prepared collective system, not an instant spell Lillian can reproduce alone in any location. It requires a selected battlefield, advance construction, participating legends in assigned positions, and time to activate while Malar is already attacking. Lillian oversees and triggers it, but the corpus does not attribute every component solely to her. (Chapters 982–985)

Giant Frost Sprite

Lillian summons a giant made from converging snow and rides on its shoulder. Each movement spreads additional frost, reducing Malar's speed and helping the coalition keep the avatar in range for allied attacks. The summon works most effectively after the isolation formation removes Malar's resistance. It is not durable enough to preserve Lillian after her strongest spell: when she approaches collapse, the sprite can no longer be maintained and bursts back into ice and snow. (Chapters 985–986)

Ice Age

Ice Age is Lillian's legendary finishing spell. Her chant turns the surrounding air into a blizzard, freezes trees and rocks, anchors Malar's feet in ice, and calls down an icy meteorite weighing hundreds of tons. The impact creates a magnitude-ten earthquake and a pit tens of kilometres deep, gravely injuring the avatar and disrupting its divine-force body. The area is indiscriminate enough that Lillian's allies must retreat from the strike, making it dangerous to use around anyone unable to escape the blast zone. (Chapters 985–986)

The spell does not destroy Malar outright. It consumes so much of Lillian's strength that she nears collapse and loses the frost sprite immediately afterward. Malar then breaks through her layered defenses and leaves her unconscious and immobile. Her original plan was to use extreme cold to dull the injured divine force so the avatar could be captured, but her incapacitation prevents her from completing that final step. (Chapter 986)

Relationships

  • Leylin Farlier: Fellow legendary and unusually powerful arcane caster in her coalition.
  • Patrick: Paladin whose attack lures Malar into their trap.
  • Alegor: Legendary druid and fellow survivor of the battle.
  • Malar: Divine target who gravely injures her.

Items

  • Magic items and scrolls: Numerous unnamed casting resources carried on her person. (Chapter 980)
  • Possible legendary item: Leylin senses a concealed aura and judges that she likely carries a legendary item, but the object is never identified or used on-page. This remains his inference rather than a confirmed possession. (Chapter 980)
