Biography
Guardian of the Arctic Queen
Arwen is an elderly butler who governs the miniature Icy World in the Arctic Queen's name. He suppresses rebellious tribes through repeated bloodbaths, controls the spirit sources of subordinate guards, and gathers sacrifices for his hidden master. The Arctic Queen created him from part of the Scorpion Man's flesh to serve as a surface guardian (Chapters 607–615).
Defeat and extraction
Arwen confronts Leylin Farlier in the form of an Icy Jade Scorpion. Despite power comparable to a strong Morning Star, his limited experience leaves him vulnerable to Leylin's domain and Arcane Art. Leylin petrifies and captures him, extracts his memories and Icy Breath, and uses his blood and flesh in research. Arwen's death triggers rebellion against the queen (Chapters 609–615).
Appearance and personality
His human guise is an impeccably groomed elderly butler with crimson eyes. His true body is a huge Icy Jade Scorpion. Arwen is outwardly humble and formal but emotionally cold, ruthlessly killing even loyal servants when useful.
Magic, bloodline, and abilities
- Morning Star body: Arwen is a Five Star-equivalent Morning Star whose true form is a giant Icy Jade Scorpion. His exceptional speed, strength, vitality, claws, and stinger make him especially dangerous at close range, though his isolation from the Magus World leaves him unfamiliar with Morning Star Arcane Arts (Chapters 609–610).
- Breath of Doom: His sudden stinger thrust breaks through Leylin's bloodline shield and reaches the latter's innate scales. The attack is close-ranged and depends on Arwen's physical speed; its name does not establish a separate breath projectile (Chapter 609).
- Icy defences: He manifests translucent ice armour that can repair a large crack by condensing surrounding icy fog. His icy forcefield also reflects his native body and environment rather than an external magic artifact (Chapter 609).
- Icy Breath: This is an extractable biological property of an Icy Jade Scorpion. Leylin harvests it after capturing Arwen and uses it to remove the chaotic emotional influence afflicting his own bloodline. The corpus does not show Arwen deliberately using it as a combat spell (Chapters 610–612).

- Leylin Farlier: The foreign Morning Star who defeats and dissects him.
