Primal Sovereign
The Fifth Primal Sovereign is a planet-sized Space Beast who spends almost five hundred thousand years coiled around an unnamed world's core while waiting for the Void Physique. Calling himself an envoy of the God of Heaven, he destroys the world when he emerges, consumes Wrath, and challenges the assembled Human Domain Demigods before attempting to swallow Damien Void. His reliance on Spatial Essence makes him nearly invulnerable until Tian Yang severs that connection.
Biography
Five hundred thousand years beneath a world
The Fifth Primal Sovereign waits beneath an unnamed world for almost half a million years, wrapping himself around its core and preserving enough of the planet to serve as bait. A trace of Time Law and one fleeting encounter with the Void have shown him both terror and the possibility of a higher peak, so he accepts the God of Heaven's inheritance hunt as a route toward power. His emergence tears the world apart, kills and consumes Wrath, and reveals that the disaster surrounding Damien's Baptism has unfolded directly over a predator whose patience dwarfs the mortal war above it. (Chapters 586–590, 600)
The Demigod containment battle
After compressing his vast body into the form of a handsome youth, the Sovereign confronts two dozen Demigods and treats them as sustenance before reclaiming Damien. His immense physique, gravity, Spatial Essence, black-hole attacks, regeneration, and swallowing force overwhelm ordinary responses, but coordinated God Ensnaring and God Killing formations isolate him from the wider battlefield. The battle also exposes an intellectual limitation: as a naturally dominant Space Beast, he has little experience inventing tactics against opponents who can deny his preferred environment, so brute durability substitutes for strategic adaptation. (Chapters 590–595)
The devouring contest
The Sovereign swallows Damien into the isolated dimensions inside his body, expecting Heaven Swallowing power to consume a mortal before the external Demigods can kill him. Damien answers with Void Devour, turning the confrontation into a contest over the Sovereign's flesh, energy, and Divinity. Tian Yang then closes the spatial fissure feeding the beast; regeneration collapses, accumulated wounds become crippling, and the internal dimensions implode. The Sovereign recognizes that his pursuit of the Void may have made him a pawn, but still attempts a final self-detonation before the Void cleaves him apart and expels his Divinity. (Chapters 595–601)
Appearance and personality
The Sovereign's true body is larger than a small world. It combines an elephantine head, trunk, and tusks with a draconic scaled body and wings, tiger-like legs and claws, a scorpion-stinger tail, and eyes compared to moons. Space flows around this composite form. He can compress it into a handsome naked young man, but the human shape is a combat convenience rather than evidence that he is human. (Chapters 588–590)
He is solitary, imperious, and almost entirely motivated by the pursuit of greater power. Unlike mindless Space Beasts, he develops enough intelligence to question his purpose and attempts to study laws, yet natural invincibility leaves him arrogant and tactically underdeveloped. His final memories reveal genuine existential longing beneath the appetite: he wants to reach the peak beyond every peak. Even after recognizing manipulation, pride makes him prefer mutual destruction to accepting defeat. (Chapters 589–601)
Abilities, laws, and evolution
Space Beast body and Spatial Essence
The Sovereign's body is naturally fused with the foundation of space. Spatial Essence supplies crushing gravity, mobility, environmental dominance, and regeneration so extreme that coordinated Demigod attacks cannot immediately wear him down. This is also his decisive dependency. His mana is not itself space-attributed, and when Tian Yang closes the fissure supplying Spatial Essence, the Sovereign loses the regenerative environment that made his injuries seem irrelevant. Within space he describes himself through action as nearly invincible; cut off from it, the accumulated damage takes effect at once. (Chapters 588–600)
Heaven Swallowing lineage
His actual mana carries the swallowing attribute of a Heaven Swallowing Beast. He creates black holes, consumes enemies and their power, and contains isolated spatial dimensions throughout his enormous body. Swallowing Damien therefore gives him an internal battlefield designed around his own law. The tactic fails because Void Devour can reverse the flow, convert his body into essence, and collapse those dimensions, while Damien's mortal body cannot safely contain the Divinity being taken. (Chapters 590–601)
Physical scale, transformation, and time trace
World-scale mass makes his limbs, gravity, and raw vitality weapons independent of sophisticated law techniques. He can shrink into human form without losing the ability to contest Demigods, then return pressure through his true body. His attempts to cultivate like a human are mostly unsuccessful, but he grasps a trace of Time Law from the Spatial Essence around him and witnesses a fragment of the future. That vision supplies motivation rather than reliable foresight: it draws him toward Damien but does not show him how to survive the encounter. (Chapters 588–600)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Peak Demigod — Fifth Primal Sovereign | 589–590 | He identifies himself as the Fifth Primal Sovereign and is explicitly placed at the peak of the Demigod realm, below True Godhood. |
| Spatial connection severed | 599–600 | Tian Yang closes the spatial fissure feeding him. Without ambient Spatial Essence, his extraordinary regeneration collapses and accumulated wounds cripple him. |
| Death and devouring by the Void Physique | 600–601 | Void Devour collapses his internal dimensions, cleaves his body, prevents his self-detonation, and converts or expels the remaining Divinity. |
Relationships
- Damien Void: The Sovereign's glimpse of the Void turns Damien into the endpoint of a half-million-year wait. He regards Damien as both the God of Heaven's inheritance target and the sustenance that will raise him beyond the assembled Demigods. Swallowing Damien instead brings Void Devour inside his defenses, where it can dismantle his body and force him to confront the possibility that destiny used his ambition to deliver power to the Seed. (Chapters 589–601)
- Tian Yang: Tian Yang joins the Human Domain's containment effort, coordinates the formations, and ultimately attacks the Sovereign's environmental dependency rather than only his body. By compressing the spatial fissure shut, he removes the Spatial Essence that sustains regeneration and changes an apparently unwinnable attritional fight into the Sovereign's collapse. (Chapters 590–601)
- Wrath: Wrath's struggle over Damien occurs directly above the hidden Sovereign. When Wrath enters an Asura frenzy and focuses wholly on taking the Seed, a fleshy appendage erupts from below, crushes him, and absorbs him as food. Wrath thus becomes both the Sovereign's first visible victim and proof that the new threat treats Nox and human combatants alike as sustenance. (Chapter 586)
Items
- Unnamed world's World Core: The Sovereign spends almost five hundred thousand years curled around the core, keeping the ruined world viable as part of his vigil. It is an environmental anchor and bait rather than a conventional carried artifact; after his emergence, Damien later claims the surviving core. (Chapters 589–594)
- God of Heaven inheritance: The Sovereign calls himself an envoy and frames Damien as the target of an inheritance-reclamation mission. The story presents the inheritance as the authority and promise guiding his hunt, not as a discrete object shown in his hands. (Chapters 589–590)
