Kasim

Kasim is Rift's Fourth Division Commander, an axe-wielding Awakened One who enforces Maiad's coercive program despite old ties to Chunghuh and Yu Seolha.

Biography

Rift's tyrant and the collapse of Only One World

Kasim participates in Rift's campaign to absorb gods and restore the memories of Awakened Ones, defending 「Mountain of Corpses, Sea of Blood」 as faster and less sacrificial than Rift's older methods while still accepting its coercion. During the final war he leads Rift forces, obeys Buddha's warning to withdraw from the Second Site, and later confronts his former teacher Chunghuh. Their exchange recalls Kasim's sword training, the lost Division Commanders, and his concern for Seolha before he attacks with the Blood Wolf Axe. Maiad's transformed System ultimately consumes its own followers: Kasim appears with only his head remaining in the false carnage shown to Seolha, then has his World Power drained by 「Mountain of Corpses, Sea of Blood」. He does not appear among the survivors after that collapse. (Chapters 182, 192, 199, 202, 207–208, 221, 225–227, and 233–234)

Appearance and personality

Kasim is a muscular, thick-bearded man who fights bare-chested and carries a massive axe. Proud and forceful enough to earn the name Tyrant, he nevertheless retains painful affection for former comrades and yields when Buddha's unusual urgency signals a danger beyond pride. (Chapters 202, 221, and 227)

Powers and limitations

Rumor places Kasim near three billion World Power, but the number is not independently verified. He channels dark-red World Power through the 「Blood Wolf Axe」 and charges with overwhelming physical force. His affiliation also binds him to 「Mountain of Corpses, Sea of Blood」; once it becomes the System, that bond drains rather than protects him, demonstrating that his power remains subordinate to Maiad's larger mechanism. Relationships

• Chunghuh: Chunghuh once taught Kasim swordsmanship and belonged to Rift. Their reunion is affectionate beneath open hostility, but their opposed loyalties end in battle. (Chapter 227)
• Yu Seolha: Kasim asks after Seolha before fighting and later appears smiling through bloody tears in the vision of Rift's mutilated commanders. (Chapters 227 and 233)
• Maiad Van Declan: Kasim serves the organization built around Maiad's Only One World, whose completed System finally drains Kasim's own World Power. (Chapters 202 and 234)
