Jin Eunsae

Jin Eunsae is a child Awakened One raised by 「Rift」's enhancement project. Initially dispatched against the Metaverse Six Gods, Eunsae saves Runald, survives Arteina's attempted Dollification with Jaehwan's help, and later becomes a defender of the Committee.

Biography

A child weapon in the Metaverse

Eunsae enters the Metaverse as a celebrated ranker and an ordinary member of 「Rift」, where even non-commanders are Awakened Ones. They intervene when Alliance forces trap Jaehwan in a Time Cube, recover it, and tell Runald to escape while they hold back Galateon. Their toy-shaped blocks defeat an Alliance advance force, but Galateon's superior World Power eventually wins the direct fight. Arteina later captures the exhausted child, suppresses their memories through the voices of Yesterday, and partially turns them into a Doll for use as a weapon against Jaehwan. (Chapters 124–129 and 139–145)

Inside World Without Adults, Eunsae remembers the enhancement program that produced them. 「Rift」 experimented on children thought to be less affected by the System; all the other subjects failed, while Eunsae survived brutal training and became the project's final child. Arteina orders them to erase Jaehwan, but his younger self survives the Sanctuary, dismantles the assumptions behind their techniques, and covers their ears against the commands overwhelming them. Eunsae collapses before Dollification reaches the soul. Jaehwan carries the unconscious child onward because leaving a 「Rift」 member among hostile gods would mean death. (Chapters 145–151)

Choosing allies beyond Rift

After recovering, Eunsae explains Jaehwan's help to Yu Seolha and fights alongside the coalition rather than returning immediately to a closed mission. They block pursuers, enter the Ninth Floor, reject its demand for mutual killing, and silently join Jaehwan's attempt to stab through the ceiling. At the Metaverse's destruction, Eunsae gives him 「Rift」 World Power, guards him through the final strike, and then leaves with Seolha to pursue the fallen Eoduksi. Eunsae's message promises to answer one future call because of the debt owed to Jaehwan. (Chapters 155–176)

Eunsae later escorts the injured Jaehwan toward the Great Forest under Seolha's order. When pursuit closes in, they establish a disruption barrier with dolls and nails, remain behind to delay the attackers, and let the others escape. By the Committee era, Eunsae has left 「Rift」 and become a full member of the new government. A year after Jaehwan departs, they stand beside Runald at the Assembly Hall's gate, using the familiar spinning umbrella against the White Revolutionary Corps until the defenders reach their limit. (Chapters 195 and 248)

Appearance and personality

Eunsae is a small child around Runald's apparent age, later described as a girl of that age. They wear a cap pulled low over the face, headphones around the neck, and a casual baseball jacket. The headset helps contextualize their discomfort with intrusive voices, while the cap and toy-shaped techniques reinforce an appearance that contrasts sharply with the fear their 「Rift」 identity causes among gods. (Chapters 124–125, 146, and 248)

Blunt, proud, and eager to prove their strength, Eunsae boasts about 「Rift」 and meets Galateon's superiority with a grin. That confidence was cultivated through punishment and relentless analysis: they were taught to absorb every criticism or command to become stronger. Jaehwan's intervention gives them permission to refuse harmful adult voices, but does not erase their competitiveness. Their later choices show direct loyalty and a practical sense of debt, expressed through fighting beside allies rather than lengthy declarations. (Chapters 125–126, 146, 159–176, and 195)

Powers and limitations

Awakening, Dismantling, and Assembly

Eunsae reaches the fourth stage of Awakening after surviving 「Rift」's child enhancement project. Dismantling and Assembly let them analyze and understand Worldviews outside the normal rules of Adaptation; Dismantling is explicitly identified as a first-stage Awakening power when Eunsae uses the left eye to search for Jaehwan's weakness. The corpus does not separately define Assembly's stage, range, or combat procedure. Jaehwan's own Doubt can look back through Eunsae's analysis and expose buried memories, showing that the perception is not immune to a stronger Awakened interaction. (Chapter 146)

World Without Adults

World Without Adults is Eunsae's fourth-stage Unique World. White smoke draws human Awakened targets into a Sanctuary that erases the concept of every “adult” caught within it, scattering body and soul as though disinfecting the world. An adult with less World Power than Eunsae is said to be unable to endure it. Jaehwan has more World Power, so his dissolution is slow, and the child within his own world remains outside the rule entirely. The Sanctuary is therefore devastating but concept-bound: it applies to adults, does not erase children, and can be resisted through greater power or a world that produces an ineligible self. (Chapters 145–146)

Eunsae Blocks

Eunsae Blocks is a law-type Setting that reshapes a cloud of blocks into specialized toy forms. Nodding Roly-Poly deflects attacks; Squeaky Hammer concentrates an offensive strike; Floating Spinning Top redirects incoming techniques; Back Scratcher Theft reaches into clothing to seize an item; and Spinning Umbrella forms an overhead shield. These forms let Eunsae withstand an Alliance battalion and later defend the Assembly Hall, but sufficiently greater World Power can break them: Galateon's spear bursts the hammer, wounds Eunsae, and overwhelms the umbrella despite its successful initial block. (Chapters 125 and 248)

Fieldcraft and World Power

Even without a manifested Sanctuary, Eunsae possesses the speed, strength, and World Power to kill ordinary Alliance combatants instantly and defend against several Settings at once. They can also create a large sensory-disruption barrier by hammering prepared dolls and nails into the ground. The barrier delays pursuers but requires Eunsae to remain behind, and the corpus does not name its Setting or explain whether the prepared objects are reusable. Eunsae can transfer World Power to Jaehwan, though doing so leaves them pale and contributes to the group's exhaustion. (Chapters 125, 174–175, and 195)

Relationships

  • Jaehwan: Eunsae first helps free Jaehwan from the Time Cube, then is forced to fight him as Arteina's Doll. His child self breaks the commands controlling them and protects their ability to choose. Eunsae repays that rescue through the Metaverse climb, the Great Forest escape, and a promise to answer his call.

  • Yu Seolha: Seolha considers Eunsae precious enough to enter the Metaverse without authorization. She accepts Eunsae's account of Jaehwan's rescue, fights the Alliance on their behalf, and later entrusts them with escorting the wounded party toward the Great Forest.

  • Runald: Eunsae saves Runald from Galateon on the Sixth Floor and later fights beside him through the Tower. In the Committee era, the two defend the Assembly Hall together, with Eunsae's umbrella protecting him from incoming World Power.

  • 「Rift」 and Maiad: 「Rift」 creates Eunsae through a secret enhancement project and trains them as a weapon. The project's cruelty and concealed nature contribute to Seolha's break with Commander Maiad van Declan. Eunsae eventually becomes a former member rather than returning to the organization.

Items

  • Prepared dolls and nails: Eunsae carries several strange dolls and nails in a backpack and anchors them around an area to create a disruption barrier. The objects dull hearing and smell and help conceal Jaehwan's fleeing group, but their construction and relationship to Eunsae's named Settings are not explained. (Chapter 195)

  • Time Cube: Eunsae takes the Cube from Jihan while rescuing Runald and Jaehwan, although Andersen immediately carries it away. Later, Eunsae requests custody of the defeated Eoduksi and the Cube containing Seolha becomes part of the unresolved history they must confront. (Chapters 125–126 and 167)
