Sunni

Sunni is Wistover's lead architect during the Duchy's first large construction surge. He coordinates builders, mages, and Techno Wizards across housing, factory, guild, and public-event projects while keeping Dominic Wavemates informed about designs, supplies, testing, and wages.

Biography

Designing Wistover's early expansion

Sunni leads construction when Wistover needs housing and factories faster than ordinary crews can supply them. He combines lumber prepared by woodcutters and mages with practical review of kiln, hydraulic-press, and magitech installation plans, asking Dominic to check clay-processing details when the Techno Wizard lacks pottery expertise. He also adapts questionable entertainment blueprints into a building with space for an Adventurer's Guild office. His coordination lets workers begin earning before every specialist is fully trained and moves multiple facilities from drawing to practical testing. (Chapters 283–331)

Keeping the workforce and public works moving

Sunni later manages renovated housing, furniture demand, material shipments, and the work of Purity Sect crews as the city prepares for weddings and visitors. When sales finally produce revenue, he makes the workers' first payday a central concern and spreads confirmation that their labour will be paid. That attention connects architecture to the people performing it: his latest demonstrated role is not only designing structures but maintaining enough supplies, communication, and confidence for Wistover's building program to continue. (Chapters 353–361)

Appearance and personality

Sunni is an older man with notably thick chest hair; the corpus gives no further stable physical description. He takes visible pride in rapid progress, reads unusual plans with healthy suspicion, and jokes with both assistants and nobles. Beneath the humour, he is careful about specialist limits and relieved when the workers' wages become secure. (Chapters 283, 297, 314, 331, and 361)

Magic, skills, and craft

The corpus does not establish personal magic for Sunni. He specializes in architecture, structural planning, production layouts, kiln design, construction sequencing, blueprint revision, and crew coordination. He knows when a Techno Wizard's drying spell is insufficient without pottery knowledge and plans around magitech installation and hydraulic presses, but those spells and devices are collaborators' work rather than evidence that Sunni casts or manufactures them himself. (Chapters 297, 314, and 331–361)

Relationships

  • Dominic Wavemates: Sunni asks Dominic for technical review, revises his blueprints, and reports on construction progress, supplies, and wages. (Chapters 297–331 and 353–361)
  • Alexis: Sunni treats Alexis as an authority whose approval Dominic should seek when a proposal affects the Duchy's plans. (Chapter 361)
  • His crews: Sunni coordinates assistants, mages, Techno Wizards, carpenters, and Purity Sect workers, with particular concern that completed sales translate into wages. (Chapters 283–361)

Items

  • Blueprints, kilns, and hydraulic presses: Sunni designs or coordinates these construction and production tools, but none is identified as his personal magical property. (Chapters 314 and 331)
