Harmonia Magic Square
The Harmonia Magic Square is a black cube recovered from the Special Tutorial. It contains Absolute Evil—an artificial divinity made from the mixed essences of the Seven Sins—and can force a user's mana circuit into an unnatural reverse flow.
History
A dangerous reserve
Seol acquires the Magic Square during the Special Tutorial but refuses to use it immediately. Its promise of powerful reverse-flow energy is paired with an imperfect formula and unknowable consequences, so he stores it rather than exchange safety for a short-term increase. Even after the Path of the Soul grants him a stronger and more stable foundation, he carries the cube as an emergency measure. (Chapters 136, 161, 169, and 178–182)
Final resort
When Seol realizes that the Parasite Queen intends to invade his body through the Imperial Oath, Black Seol Jihu takes control and activates the Magic Square. Absolute Evil enters Seol and reverses the flow of energy through his mana circuit. The choice is made as a final resort: Seo Yuhui had feared that he might use it, and neither Seol nor his allies could predict the exact result of the imperfect device. (Chapters 184–186)
The transformation helps turn the Queen's possession attempt against her, but it also destroys Seol's ordinary bodily state and leaves his reversed circuit as part of the crisis that follows his death. Later testimony identifies the Magic Square and its artificial divinity as the decisive catalyst. The cube does not return as a usable object after activation. (Chapters 186–189)
Abilities and properties
- It contains Absolute Evil, an artificial divinity created by combining the essences of all Seven Sins. (Chapters 186 and 189)
- Its energy transforms a mana circuit from within and reverses the natural direction of energy flow. (Chapters 161 and 178)
- The reversed flow grants exceptional power in the activation crisis, but the device was built from an imperfect formula and its full effects could not be predicted in advance. (Chapters 161, 178, and 186)
- The effect interacts with Black Seol Jihu's control of Seol's body and with the Parasite Queen's possession attempt; the corpus does not establish that an ordinary user would reproduce the same outcome. (Chapters 184–189)
