Prihi Hussey — The Second Coming of Gluttony

Prihi Hussey is the king of Haramark and father of Teresa Hussey. A politically shrewd native ruler, he treats Seol Jihu's actions as an opportunity to strengthen both Haramark and Paradise while repeatedly backing that trust with royal resources and personal risk.

Biography

A king's support for an Earthling

Prihi first receives Seol without demanding ritual submission, thanks him for service to Paradise, and negotiates requests involving land, refugees, and a royal Magician rather than dismissing them. After the valley war, he visits the injured Seol, provides royal certification and protection, and personally confronts Priests attempting to isolate him during a disputed investigation. Prihi's support gives Seol legal and political cover that battlefield reputation alone cannot provide. (Chapters 55, 94, 100–102, and 123)

When Valhalla exposes institutional corruption, Prihi recognizes that its public spectacle is seeking justification for a broader campaign and travels to Eva. He rejects Scheherazade's envoy, uses the kingdom's military credibility to prevent intimidation, and supports Charlotte Aria without speaking as if she remains a child. His diplomacy turns Haramark's alliance with Seol into leverage for another royal court rather than a private favor to Teresa. (Chapters 171–172)

The Royal Oath and survival of the coalition

Prihi supplies fresh military carriages for the Imperial Oath expedition and grieves with the coalition when Seol's body returns. When a single Royal Oath proves insufficient for resurrection, he transfers ownership of his oath to Teresa, allowing her to combine it with another source of divine authority. The act spends a hereditary royal resource on an Earthling whose return Prihi judges essential to Haramark's survival. (Chapters 182, 187–190)

Prihi survives the final war and remains king afterward, appearing as a guest and occasional judge in Seol's peacetime life. He says that reviving two lost companions is enough when Seol offers further restorations, indicating a limit rather than endless use of the postwar opportunity. The corpus last confirms him among the senior figures present during a later Haramark crisis. (Chapters 210, 236, and 238)

Appearance and personality

Prihi is a middle-aged, willowy man with neatly groomed blond hair and beard, calm eyes containing a spark of intensity, and a clear voice. He looks more like a scholar than a Warrior. His courtesy and humor can appear relaxed, but he uses that manner deliberately when negotiations require an opponent to underestimate his resolve. (Chapters 55, 101, and 172)

Abilities and class

The corpus gives Prihi no combat class, level, or Status Window. His demonstrated abilities are royal administration, negotiation, intelligence gathering, resource allocation, and strategic use of Haramark's military reputation. He can mobilize soldiers, carriages, certifications, and diplomatic agreements, but those are powers of office and preparation rather than personal magic. (Chapters 55, 80, 100–102, 172, and 182)

Relationships

Teresa Hussey: Prihi trusts Teresa as Haramark's military heir and supports her bond with Seol, sometimes calling him a son-in-law for political effect. He transfers the Royal Oath to her when she needs divine authority to restore Seol. (Chapters 55, 171–172, and 187–190)
Seol Jihu: Prihi recognizes Seol as a war hero, protects him during political attacks, and commits royal resources to his plans. Their relationship becomes familial in tone without erasing the strategic importance each holds for the other. (Chapters 55, 94–102, 123, 172, and 182–190)
Charlotte Aria: Prihi helps Charlotte repel Scheherazade's envoy, then tells her not to lower her head and acknowledges that she is governing effectively. His assistance reinforces rather than replaces her authority. (Chapter 172)
