Biography
Nevermore, courtship, and conquest
After Nevermore, Wintermaul approaches Sylphie because he recognizes her as a fellow Sovereign and believes the Sovereigns of Ice and Wind could conjoin their Paths and produce exceptional offspring. His proposal is formal but badly judged: Sylphie finds him cold, hard, spiky, and featherless, while Jake and several allies immediately prepare to defend her. Wintermaul accepts her rejection, apologizes, and withdraws instead of escalating the encounter, turning a potentially serious factional conflict into an awkward social failure. Wintermaul subsequently joins the Altmar Empire and continues to translate his status into territorial power. By Chapter 1070 he has conquered his planet and dominates its system-level world-core event, showing that the ambition behind his Nevermore rank extends beyond personal duels. Appearance and personality
Wintermaul’s natural form resembles a cross between a yeti and a bear made entirely of ice. He can adopt a pale, humanlike shape wearing a fur coat, though signs of frost and his mana-composed nature remain. He is formal, ambitious, and proud of his Sovereign status. His courtship is socially awkward and presumptuous, but his prompt apology shows restraint and an ability to respect an unambiguous refusal.
