Stormild

Stormild is the sole elemental Primordial, an immense sapient storm whose interest in Sylphie creates a lasting connection to Earth.

Biography

Hunting Grounds and B-grade evolution

Stormild invited Sylphie into her realm during the hawk’s evolution and, amused by her complete immunity to divine presence and repeated misunderstandings of blessing ranks, upgraded the offer until Sylphie accepted a Divine Blessing. Stormild then mediated a Union Oath between Sylphie and Jake, protecting the spirit contract while allowing both to retain their independence. She later directed Sylphie toward powerful elemental communities and appeared during the investigation of the Pantheon of Life attack, where she identified Sylphie as a plausible target and treated the unknown attackers as a threat. (Chapters 276–277, 1080, 1122, 1198–1199)

Appearance and personality

Stormild’s true form is a colossal cloud of thunder, fire, and wind that can assume the outline of a gigantic burning storm bird. She can reduce that manifestation to a smaller avian shape when speaking to mortals. She is childish, talkative, impulsive, and easily distracted, but not unintelligent; her concern for exploited spirits and insistence that promises be enforced reveal a firm moral core beneath the flightiness. (Chapters 276–277)

Path, class, and abilities

As a Primordial elemental, Stormild embodies wind, fire, and lightning on a cosmic scale. Her passage can consume planets and larger structures, while her blessing opens elemental development Paths and strengthens agility and intelligence. Her Union Oath ritual acts as a system-facing spirit contract: the parties define their promise, and Stormild serves as guarantor if either breaks it, specifically protecting spirits from exploitative bargains. (Chapters 276–277)

Stormild controls a broad domain and is followed by many elementals, but she maintains no conventional faction or stable alliance. Her inattention is a practical constraint: she may ignore summons, arrive late, or contribute little to structured councils. At the latest point, her influence is visible through Sylphie’s mature elemental nature, while Stormild herself remains an independent Primordial rather than an Earth-based actor. (Chapters 373, 792, 1198–1199, 1267)
