Sky Whale

The Sky Whale is an immense intelligent beast who secures a place for Earth’s oceanic and aerial monsters within the post-integration government.

Biography

An ocean faction seeks coexistence

The Sky Whale intercepted Jake above the ocean after tracking Sandy and asked that the creatures sheltering under his protection be allowed to remain when enlightened factions consolidated Earth. Rather than threaten a weaker negotiator, he offered his faction’s help in governing regions humans did not control and presented resources as goodwill. Jake later admitted him to protected territory and appointed him the final minister on the World Council. (Chapters 539, 585)

Guardian of Earth’s beast factions

As a council member, the Sky Whale negotiated for monsters, organized ocean defense, and joined the cleanup after the Prima Guardian died. He later evolved to B-grade and continued suppressing rival beast lords while arguing that ecosystems and coexistence mattered to planetary policy. His authority remained real but strained: advancement through system-provided natural treasures had damaged his foundation, so the Golden Forest King’s return relieved pressure that raw grade alone could not permanently solve. Appearance and personality

In true form, the Sky Whale resembles a rough-skinned blue whale more than ten kilometers long, with fins, an enormous tail, and an eye measured on a stadium scale. His usable humanoid form is a bald, blue-skinned man nearly two and a half meters tall and extremely obese. He is cautious, patient, courteous, and politically pragmatic, consistently favoring negotiated coexistence over dominance.

Path, class, and abilities

  • Aquatic and aerial body: Although primarily aquatic, he can lift his true mass into the sky and travel by flight. He can also adopt a functional humanoid form for councils and diplomacy, though its refinement is limited.
  • Mental communication: He speaks telepathically over long enough distances to negotiate before physical proximity and coordinates intelligent beasts across oceans and skies.
  • Treasure-driven progression: Karroch’s blessing and system-provided natural treasures accelerated his rise from late C-grade to B-grade. The benefit came with a lasting cost: reliance on those treasures harmed his foundation and capped his comparative potential.
  • Prima restriction: Because he grew through system-given unique treasures, he could neither oppose the Prima Guardian nor freely ignore the system’s choice while it lived. Once the Guardian died, he could join the remaining battle and lead a beast army.
  • Latest state: He remains one of Earth’s B-grade deterrents and a council representative, powerful enough to suppress ordinary factions but no longer treated as the uncontested apex of all beasts.

Relationships

  • Jake Thayne grants the whale and his followers political protection after judging his offer sincere; the whale repays that acceptance with military and governmental support.
  • Miranda Wells works with him as a fellow World Council leader and relies on him for ocean defense, beast diplomacy, and ecosystem policy.
  • Fallen King becomes a stabilizing counterpart whose greater natural authority eases the pressure placed on the whale by ambitious beast lords.
