Void Dragon Skeleton Throne

The Void Dragon Skeleton Throne is Ames's hovering seat and the source of part of her title, Dragon Emperor. It is made from the remains of the same immense galactic species whose skeletons form the foundation and principal resource of Floating Dragon Island.

History

The Dragon Emperor's throne

Ames first appears before the mercenaries seated on a hovering throne made from Void Dragon skeletons. She crosses her legs and looks down from it while using her force field to pull their escaping spaceships back to Floating Dragon Island. The throne then carries her from the dock to her central residence, and she continues using it while judging the prisoners. Her title “Dragon Emperor” refers partly to this throne and partly to her feat of creating Floating Dragon Island from land embedded with Void Dragon remains. The item is therefore a symbol and vehicle associated with Ames, not a second body, transformation, or identity for her. (Chapters 370–371)

Abilities and properties

  • Is constructed from Void Dragon skeleton material, a rare resource left after the flesh of a dead Void Dragon turns to ice shards and ash. (Chapters 364 and 370)
  • Hovers and transports Ames through Floating Dragon Island. The supplied scenes do not establish an independent propulsion system; Ames is a force-field Esper and is shown controlling the throne herself. (Chapters 370–371)
  • Functions as a visible emblem of Ames's authority and contributes to the meaning of her Dragon Emperor title. (Chapter 371)
  • Has no demonstrated sentience, attack power, or identity continuity with Ames. The corpus does not state who crafted it or name any additional mechanisms. (Chapters 370–371)
