Lightweight Mechanical Arm
The Lightweight Mechanical Arm is one of Han Xiao's earliest original blueprints, a wearable powered arm that establishes both his practical engineering skill and the military value of his designs on Planet Aquamarine.
History
Early invention and field use
Han Xiao discovers the blueprint soon after awakening in the Germinal laboratory and builds the arm as an early combat tool. It augments a wearer's strikes and can be driven harder through energy overload, giving Han Xiao and later Li Yalin a short burst of force capable of breaking an opponent's guard. Stardragon's logistics and intelligence officials recognize its value and seek both the device and its encrypted blueprint. (Chapters 5–51)
A copied foundation
The arm Han Xiao leaves behind during his escape becomes a model for Germinal experimentation. Later test subjects' reinforced mechanical limbs and the organization's exoskeleton suits visibly resemble the Lightweight Mechanical Arm, allowing Han Xiao to infer that Germinal used his abandoned equipment as a technological starting point. By then his own engineering has moved beyond the original design, but its influence survives in copied military hardware. (Chapters 139–243)
Abilities and properties
- Amplifies the wearer's arm strength and defensive capacity through a powered wearable frame. (Chapters 26, 51)
- Can combine with energy overload for a temporary increase in output, at the cost of rapidly consuming both energy and durability. (Chapter 26)
- Uses an encrypted blueprint that Stardragon's engineers cannot immediately inspect or reproduce. (Chapter 33)
- Serves as a technological precursor to later exoskeleton and prosthetic-style mechanical limbs. (Chapters 139, 243)
