Emperor's Cape

The Emperor's Cape is a gigantic Saint Tyracles mechanical cloak built by Han Xiao to protect, stabilize, and accelerate his Mechanical Deity.

History

Gold-grade manufacture

The Saint Tyracles blueprint is intended for a Mechanical Deity rather than an ordinary wearer. Its enormous physical scale and complex construction make it more difficult to manufacture than the King suit, and Han Xiao produces several failures before completing a Gold-grade Cape. He stores the finished equipment until a suitable full-scale battle. (Chapters 1028–1070)

Mechanical Deity battles

On its first deployment, the Cape bends space around its edges to increase the Mechanical Deity's mobility and can be drawn across the body as a shield. Han Xiao uses both functions in combat, but the Cape is not invulnerable: Manison's Sacred Trident repeatedly penetrates its shield, and another high-grade blade cuts through the internal reinforcement it provides. (Chapters 1080–1118)

The Cape remains part of Han Xiao's later Mechanical Deity equipment. It blocks planetary-scale shockwaves, absorbs attacks during the World Tree war, and is still deployed against the Tree God in the final battle. Later research also reveals that it shares a set interaction with the Dark Gold Furnace Beast and Emperor Skysplitter Blade, extending its value beyond its original standalone functions. Abilities and properties

• Reduces the energy required to maintain a Mechanical Deity, extending its practical operating time. (Chapter 1028)
• Reinforces the Mechanical Deity's internal structure against intrusion and damage. (Chapters 1028 and 1118)
• Improves movement and attack speed by bending space around the Cape's edges. (Chapters 1028 and 1080)
• Can be raised as a powerful shield against energy attacks, weapon strikes, and large explosions, although other Universal Treasure-grade weapons can penetrate it. (Chapters 1080, 1107, and 1116–1118)
• Forms part of a later three-piece equipment set with the Dark Gold Furnace Beast and Emperor Skysplitter Blade. (Chapter 1390)
