Emperor Mechanic's Sacred Trident
The Emperor Mechanic's Sacred Trident is Manison's self-developed Universal Treasure melee weapon for a Mechanical Deity. Its penetrating power exceeds that of the Celestial Punishment Edge, and Manison treats its design as guarded proprietary technology.
History
Manison's Mechanical Deity weapon
Manison deploys the purple trident when his silver Mechanical Deity fights Han Xiao during the Intelligent Plague crisis. It repeatedly pierces Han's shields and mechanical body, and one focused thrust annihilates the machinery along its path down to molecular fragments. After the battle, Han sees the trident's blueprint among the abilities he might extract from Manison and learns its full name, high manufacturing requirements, and status as a weapon built specifically for a Mechanical Deity. He chooses a different reward, so this glimpse of the blueprint does not transfer ownership of the trident or its design to him. (Chapters 1115–1120)
Loan, destruction, and reconstruction
During Han's confrontation with the three Universal Civilizations, Manison voluntarily lends him the trident and transfers its controls along with other Mechanical Deity equipment. Han uses it to break defensive treasures, scatter direct Beyond Grade As, and dominate close-range exchanges until six days of continuous battle damage finally shatter the weapon. A later Sacred Trident is again in Manison's hands during the World Tree War and the final offensive, establishing that he reconstructs or replaces the destroyed example from his own design. Han's use was a temporary loan, not a permanent transfer. (Chapters 1304–1305, 1337, and 1437)
Abilities and properties
- Is a Universal Treasure-class melee weapon designed for the scale and control systems of a Mechanical Deity. Its minimum blueprint requirements demand extremely high intelligence and advanced mechanical, material, and power-source knowledge. (Chapters 1119–1120)
- Carries concentrated psionic energy and can emit a penetrating beam from its central blade, breach high-level shields, and erase machinery along the line of impact. (Chapters 1115–1116)
- Uses force-field guidance to convert a deflection into renewed forward momentum, allowing a blocked thrust to rebound into another rapid attack. (Chapter 1116)
- Can withstand prolonged Beyond Grade A combat but is not indestructible; sustained use against many powerful opponents ultimately shatters the loaned example. (Chapter 1305)
