Berserk Ape

Berserk Ape is a high-cost mechanical suit built and used by Han Xiao during his rise through the Calamity Grade, serving as his principal personal armor after Void Dragon.

History

A new frontline suit

Han Xiao develops Berserk Ape as a major equipment upgrade and carries it in a compressed form on his necklace. The suit can rapidly cover his body when activated, allowing him to enter hostile ships, fight in open space, and operate heavy weapons while protected. Its price makes it one of his most expensive individual creations of the period, surpassed among the cited equipment only by particularly costly artillery. (Chapters 587–604)

Tactical limits and replacement

Berserk Ape remains a useful frontline platform, but it is not appropriate against every opponent. When Shana manipulates surrounding metal, Han Xiao deliberately avoids deploying the suit because its construction would give her an additional avenue of control. He later uses it to confront Vanguard officers in space, then replaces it with a newer silver-and-black suit whose performance exceeds Berserk Ape's. (Chapters 633–665)
