Sleepy Winter

Sleepy Winter is the player handle of a veteran professional esports competitor and senior member of Long Sky Club. Alongside Hao Tian, he forms the “Long Sky Twin Stars,” and his analytical, socially adept play supports both early exploration on Planet Aquamarine and Long Sky's later competitive campaigns.

Biography

Escape from Germinal and the Aquamarine War

Sleepy Winter enters the beta with Twinkle Fried Rice and Rainy Kim, pooling money for an expensive local map and sharing what he learns rather than hoarding information. Already known as a legendary veteran who writes public strategy guides, he joins the Stardragon Army and keeps Frenzied Sword informed. His character later awakens as an Esper through DNA sold in the game store. During the war, he recognizes that the frontline battle exceeds the players' level and leads logistics instead of chasing glory, helping deliver supplies while preserving the team. By the first Pro League, he is firmly established beside Hao Tian as one of Long Sky's two senior stars. (Chapters 55–59, 129–145, and 274–294)

The Black Star Mercenary Group

Sleepy Winter travels into galactic society with Hao Tian and Twinkle Fried Rice, seeking missions aboard the Short Horn Star and later operating within the Black Star faction. He contributes tactical judgment in dungeon play and serves as Long Sky's negotiator when his high Charm makes him the best person to question an informant about the coming interstellar conflict. One indexed phrase in Chapter 310 says “under the clear sky and Sleepy Winter,” but the context describes nighttime weather while Han speaks to Hila and Aurora; it is not an actual appearance by the player and should not be treated as one. (Chapters 310, 315–325, 411, and 628–629)

The Flickering World

As Long Sky's veteran core player, Sleepy Winter remains valued for both individual skill and team strategy. His habit of appearing weak before ambushing opponents works less well against King Admiral, whose disciplined Dynasty lineup controls Long Sky during their tournament meeting. Sleepy Winter nevertheless remains regarded as a god-level player and a club pillar. He continues participating in player discussions and faction negotiations, appreciates that Han still treats the old players as insiders, and accepts the Black Star faction's exceptional profitability. By Chapter 1210 he openly says age and competitive limits are catching up with him; after a major achievement, he chooses to make room for younger players, and his retirement is confirmed in Chapter 1277. (Chapters 830, 912–920, 1014–1020, 1090, 1210, and 1277)

Appearance and personality

Neither Sleepy Winter's real-world appearance nor a stable physical description of his avatar is established. His defining qualities are social ease, generosity, and experienced judgment. He laughs readily, shares guides with the wider community, and can speak politely to non-player characters when teammates need information. In combat he favors deception—pretending to be weaker than he is before counterattacking—but he is practical enough to admit when a mission is beyond his level. His voluntary retirement also shows an unsentimental awareness of his limits and concern for Long Sky's next generation. (Chapters 55–57, 137, 628–629, 912, and 1210)

Abilities and class

Sleepy Winter controls an Esper character awakened with store-bought DNA during the beta, but the nature of the Esper ability is never specified in the cited corpus. His better-established strengths belong to professional play: tactical analysis, extensive game knowledge, deceptive fighting, team coordination, and a comparatively high Charm statistic useful in conversations with non-player characters. He is repeatedly called a top or god-level competitor, yet the text does not establish a precise in-world grade or later character build. (Chapters 57, 135, 294, 628–629, and 912–919)

Relationships

  • Hao Tian: Hao Tian and Sleepy Winter are Long Sky's senior “Twin Stars.” They travel, compete, and plan together, with Hao Tian providing forceful leadership and Sleepy Winter contributing analysis and social play.
  • Twinkle Fried Rice and Rainy Kim: The three enter the beta together, combine resources, join Stardragon, and work as a logistics team. Twinkle Fried Rice later continues beside him as Long Sky's younger mechanical specialist.
  • Frenzied Sword: Sleepy Winter treats Frenzied Sword as both an early information contact and a respected professional peer. Their clubs cooperate in missions even while remaining tournament rivals.
  • Han Xiao: Sleepy Winter benefits from Han's factions from Planet Aquamarine onward and later values Han's continuing familiarity with the veteran players despite his immense rise in status.

Items

No unique personal item is established for Sleepy Winter. The costly map bought during the beta, the mission item he delivers to an informant, and the copied list he receives are temporary quest resources rather than signature equipment. (Chapters 55 and 628–629)
