Sulfur

Sulfur is a conscious Soulseed companion who protects Randidly Ghosthound through living armor and, later, an integrated replacement limb and Nether organ. Sulfur communicates preferences and emotional reactions, changes shape, metabolizes impacts, and participates in Randidly's bodily evolution. Residence within or around Randidly's body is a bond between partners, not ownership.

History

Living armor awakens

Sulfur awakens with Acri as part of the second generation of activated Soulseeds. Designed around Iron Skin, Sulfur flows across Randidly as amorphous plant armor and can gather into a ball or withdraw when asked. The arrangement lets Sulfur protect him beneath conventional equipment such as the Bone Cloak. (Chapters 487, 506, and 510)

Separation and responsive protection

Sulfur displays emotional responses and preferences while accompanying Randidly beyond Earth. After Versault takes custody of Randidly's living equipment, Randidly recovers and dons Sulfur again. Sulfur absorbs heavy kinetic impacts and can settle into the compact appearance of a thick grey protective vest. (Chapters 768, 823, 835, and 865)

From armor to integrated organ

Sulfur increasingly protects the damaged region around Randidly's left arm and becomes physically integrated rather than merely worn over his body. The evolution beyond the Soulseed stage produces Combat Furnace, Nascent Nether Organ, and resistance to force while bringing integration close to completion. Nascent Nether Organ later evolves into Organic Nether Hub, making Sulfur part of Randidly's Nether circulation as well as his defense. (Chapters 1234, 2050, and 2197)

Abilities and properties

• Sulfur can flow into armor, withdraw into a compact mass, and adopt a thick grey vest-like resting form. (Chapters 506 and 865)
• Sulfur absorbs or metabolizes kinetic force and reacts positively to powerful impacts. (Chapters 835 and 986)
• The living armor can concentrate protection around a wounded limb and ultimately replace or integrate with missing body structure. (Chapters 1234 and 2050)
• Combat Furnace, Nascent Nether Organ, and later Organic Nether Hub turn absorbed force and Nether integration into sustained bodily support. (Chapters 2050 and 2197)
