The Spine-Spear of Ep-Tal is Randidly Ghosthound's named trophy weapon from the Hungry Tribulation. Sam turns the defeated Ep-Tal's remains into a spear, converting a threat to Donnyton into a practical expression of the settlement's growing craft.

History

A weapon from the Hungry Tribulation

After the battle with Ep-Tal, Sam fashions its spine or related body material into a spear and presents it to Randidly. The gift joins Sam's craft to Randidly's spear training and gives the victory a lasting physical consequence beyond the Skill Agony. (Chapter 62)

Early signature use

Randidly continues wielding the named spear through the conflicts that follow the Tribulation. It is still his identified weapon during the later Franksburg and Donnyton fighting, before stronger crafted and living spears replace it. (Chapter 95)

Abilities and properties

• The spear is constructed from Ep-Tal's spine or body material, making the monster's natural structure its shaft and weapon identity. (Chapter 62)
