Dintan Raid Dungeon Keys
The Dintan Raid Dungeon Keys are a linked set of quest artifacts governing the dungeon's completion and escape. The Death Key and the incomplete Skeleton Key are distinct components or states within that mechanism, not interchangeable names for one ordinary key.
History
The Death Key
The Death Cultists introduce a Death Key component while the dungeon factions compete for control of the raid. Its custody and use become part of the fighting over the dungeon's exit conditions, making the artifact more than a simple door key. (Chapters 441, 448, and 452–456)
The key within Randidly
After the dungeon's climax, Randidly Ghosthound learns from the memories connected to The Creature that the construct held within his chest is an incomplete Skeleton Key. Lucretia determines that Randidly's images have already altered its original design, so she avoids defining its possibilities too narrowly for him. (Chapter 482)
Abilities and properties
- The key mechanism governs completion or escape conditions within the Dintan Raid Dungeon. (Chapters 441–456)
- The Skeleton Key component is incomplete and exists within Randidly's chest or Soulskill rather than as a conventional key on a ring. (Chapter 482)
- Randidly's images reshape the original construct, changing it from the design associated with the Creature. (Chapter 482)
