Yust is a tiger-headed Pinnacle Seeker who joins Claudette’s coalition and fights a body-selection contest with enthusiasm, pride, and surprising restraint. (Chapters 1715, 1727, and 1734)

Biography

A hothead borrows the Ghosthound’s body

Colm Yust joins Claudette, Neshamah, and Randidly against Don Beigon’s favored competitors, bristling at stereotypes about Pinnacle Seekers and Moonlight Blade’s presence. When the contest lets participants choose bodies, Yust selects Randidly’s, then delights in its speed and durability. He attacks with blurring jabs, grapples Moonlight Blade, regenerates flayed flesh, and releases changing sewage-gas pulses. Although pride makes him a hothead, he holds back until allies are clear and chooses a body suited to surviving the course. (Chapters 1715, 1718, 1721, 1726–1730, and 1734)

Appearance and personality

Yust has a tiger’s head, lively facial fur, and a pleasantly rumbling voice. A burnt-orange suit complements his fur. He is proud, stubborn, easily provoked, and physically expressive, yet can act conscientiously when allies would be endangered. (Chapters 1715, 1718, 1724, and 1728)

Abilities and progression

Yust is a Pinnacle Seeker, but the contest’s strongest displayed feats come from his borrowed version of Randidly’s body: rapid jabs, extreme regeneration, durability, and animated sewage-gas pulses. These should not be treated as a full list of Yust’s innate powers. His own demonstrated advantages are tactical body selection, fighting instinct, and willingness to exploit unfamiliar physical gifts. (Chapters 1726–1730 and 1734)
