Biography

An unwanted lecture becomes collaboration

Trentyon meets Randidly while trying to explain historical currency fluctuations, spear tariffs, and the Heart School in far more detail than his listener wants. The dismissal initially wounds him, but Randidly spends the following days repairing the relationship and researching Tellus history beside him. Access to the Hall of Stances delights Trentyon because it expands beyond his limited scroll collection. When Randidly later disappears, Trentyon remains waiting for hours and joins Helen in looking for him, turning scholarly enthusiasm into personal loyalty. (Chapters 696, 701, and 729)

Appearance and personality

Trentyon is gaunt, thin, and long-limbed, with a wan smile after hours of waiting. He is earnest, highly verbal, sensitive to dismissal, and easily delighted by access to deeper records. (Chapters 696, 701, and 729)

Abilities and progression

His strength is historical scholarship: economic policy, Style history, archived scrolls, and careful research. Access to the Hall of Stances broadens that expertise. He does not demonstrate a named combat Skill, and his tendency to pursue details beyond immediate relevance can overwhelm listeners even when the information is accurate. (Chapters 696 and 701)

Relationships

Randidly becomes his research partner after repairing an awkward first exchange. Helen joins him in searching for Randidly, while the Hall of Stances supplies the archives he longs to study. (Chapters 701 and 729)
