Biography

A Torchbearer wounds Aegiant

Rejt greets Randidly as a profitable “softskin” and needles Kurag about losing his edge, establishing the easy confidence of an experienced Earth Golem. As a Torchbearer, he gathers supplies and enters dangerous mist without fearing Mist Sickness, giving Randidly access to information and routes others avoid. In the original confrontation with Aegiant, Rejt lands the severe wound that lets Randidly finish the stronger enemy, making his intervention decisive even though Randidly still suffers heavily. Appearance and personality

Rejt has an Earth Golem body; the exact stone coloration and shape are not repeatedly fixed. His confident drawl, quick smile, and teasing treatment of Kurag suggest an adventurer comfortable with danger rather than a solemn guardian. (Chapters 748 and 829)

Rejt possesses an Earth Golem’s durable body and the fieldcraft needed to move through dangerous mist as a Torchbearer.
